2D MoC i-MXene is highly promising for electrochemical applications. Here, a synthetic strategy is reported, enabling the uniform distribution of carbon-coated CoNi (CoNi@C) nanoparticles on the vacancy-ordered MoC i-MXene nanosheets, thereby fully exposing the active sites of CoNi@C. First, five novel Ga-containing (MoR)GaC (R = Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, and Lu) i-MAX phases are synthesized as the precursor and found to be crystallized into Cmcm structure, followed by hydrothermal etching and delamination.

The stimulus-responsive polymeric materials have attracted great research interest, especially those remotely manipulated materials with potential applications in actuators and soft robotics. Here we report a photoresponsive main-chain actuator based on azobenzene poly(ether ester) multiblock copolymer (mBCP) thermoplastic elastomers, (PTAD--PTMO--PTAD), which were synthesized by a cascade polycondensation-coupling ring-opening polymerization method using poly(tetramethylene oxide) (PTMO) and azobenzene-containing cyclic oligoesters (COTADs) as monomers. The thermal, mechanical, and microphase separation behaviors of mBCPs could be flexibly tuned by altering the ratios of soft-to-hard segments and block number ().

However, traditional metal- and silicon-based sensors face drawbacks, including limited flexibility, high cost, degradation issues, and insufficient sensitivity. Conductive composite fibers were produced using the spinning solution of PAN and PVB mixed with CNTs and spun at a flow rate of 20 mL·h.

Sheep were domesticated in the Fertile Crescent and then spread globally, where they have been encountering various environmental conditions. The Tibetan sheep has adapted to high altitudes on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau over the past 3000 years. To explore genomic variants associated with high-altitude adaptation in Tibetan sheep, we analyzed Illumina short-reads of 994 whole genomes representing ∼ 60 sheep breeds/populations at varied altitudes, PacBio High fidelity (HiFi) reads of 13 breeds, and 96 transcriptomes from 12 sheep organs.

In the CDs@CdTe@MIP system, non-imprinted polymer-coated CDs and molecule-imprinted polymer-coated CdTe quantum dots were used as the reference signal and response elements, respectively. The added AMO quenched the fluorescence of the CdTe quantum dots, whereas the fluorescence intensity of the CDs remained almost unchanged.

There are in-plane and out-of-plane atomic ordered occupations, which is thought to only be formed in separated systems due to totally different origins and crystallographic structure. In present work, starting from (Mo, Nb)AlC o-MAX phase where out-of-plane ordered occupation is experimentally and theoretically proved for Mo/Nb atoms, rare-earth elements (R = Y, Gd-Tm, Lu) are introduced, and the novel Mo RNbAlC (x = 1, 1.

Metabolism regulates LSCs, but the mechanisms remain elusive. Here, we show that hypoxia-inducible factor 2α (HIF-2α) is highly expressed in LSCs in mouse and human CML and increases after tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) treatment.

Methods: A cross-sectional study involved 161 glaucoma patients and 115 healthy controls, with a follow-up of 14 subjects after approximately 2 years. Plasma Lf markers were quantified using ELISA, comparing levels between glaucoma patients and healthy controls, and analyzing plasma Lf across different glaucoma severity grades.
Background: Ruminant gut microbiota are critical in ecological adaptation, evolution, and nutrition utilization because it regulates energy metabolism, promotes nutrient absorption, and improves immune function. To study the functional roles of key gut microbiota in sheep and goats, it is essential to construct reference microbial gene catalogs and high-quality microbial genomes database.
Results: A total of 320 fecal samples were collected from 21 different sheep and goat breeds, originating from 32 distinct farms.
Tissue engineering envisions functional substitute creation for damaged tissues. Insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) plays roles in bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell (BMSC) osteogenic differentiation (OD), and we investigated its specific mechanism. BMSCs were cultured and OD was induced.

Massive production of SiO nanofibers with both high durability and exceptional performance remains a significant challenge. Herein, a novel approach was introduced to achieve the massive production of SiO nanofibers with lotus-leaf-inspired surfaces by combining solution blowing spinning (SBS) and the polymer-derived ceramics method. Based on the SBS technique, three types of precursor nanofiber products were fast spined with methyl silsesquioxane polymer and polymethyl hydrogen siloxane employed as Si sources.

The intrinsic mechanism of As retention was obtained by analyzing the effect of different SM addition ratios on the As form transformation during co-gasification at 1000 °C under CO atmosphere. The results showed that the addition of SM effectively promoted the enrichment of As in the co-gasified residues.

Glaucoma is a complex neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the progressive loss of retinal ganglion cells (RGC) and optic nerve axons, leading to irreversible visual impairment. Despite its clinical significance, the underlying mechanisms of glaucoma pathogenesis remain poorly understood. In this study, we aimed to unravel the multifaceted nature of glaucoma by investigating the interaction between T cells and retinas.

Omentin-1, a newly discovered adipokine, is reported to have anti-inflammatory effects and has been found to be decreased in patients with inflammatory bowel disease. The aim of our study was to investigate the association between serum omentin-1 levels and mucosal disease activity in patients with UC.

However, despite its clinical effectiveness, sorafenib resistance is frequently observed in clinical settings, and the mechanisms underlying this resistance as well as effective strategies to overcome it remain unclear. We examined both single-cell and bulk transcription data in sorafenib-resistant and control AML patients and integrated a sorafenib resistance gene signature to predict the sensitivity of AML cells and the clinical outcomes of AML patients undergoing sorafenib therapy.
