Study Design: We defined non-inferiority by a 6% margin of method success. People with intrauterine pregnancies 64-77 days' gestational age by abdominal ultrasound seeking medical abortion at one of eight clinics and met eligibility criteria were offered participation.
Aims: We collected the different prescription patterns of diabetes medications in a cohort of patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and analysed the impact of different prescription patterns on clinical outcomes.
Methods And Results: Consecutive diabetic patients with HFrEF from a heart failure referral centre were retrospectively analysed between 2015 and 2016. Exclusion criteria include being lost to follow-up, not receiving diabetes medications, and having severe renal impairment with a glomerular filtration rate < 30 mL/min/1.

Guided by the RE-AIM framework and Durlak and DuPre's Ecological Framework for Understanding Effective Implementation, the evaluation focused on two objectives: 1) to describe the organization of the program at the community level; and, 2) to identify opportunities for improvement through an early assessment of factors contributing to implementation.
Methods: Participants (n = 320) - members of the HKCC local steering committee, including the local project manager - completed a cross-sectional survey using SurveyMonkey and descriptive statistics were calculated.
This Article demonstrates a mild oxidatively induced C(sp)-H activation at a high-valent Ni center. In contrast with most C(sp)-H activation reactions at Ni, the transformation proceeds at room temperature and generates an isolable Ni σ-alkyl complex. Density functional theory studies show two plausible mechanisms for this C-H activation process involving triflate-assisted C-H cleavage at either a Ni or a Ni intermediate.

Objective: To address the variability in prevalence estimates and inconsistencies in potential risk factors for poststroke cognitive impairment (PSCI) using a standardized approach and individual participant data (IPD) from international cohorts in the Stroke and Cognition Consortium (STROKOG) consortium.
Methods: We harmonized data from 13 studies based in 8 countries. Neuropsychological test scores 2 to 6 months after stroke or TIA and appropriate normative data were used to calculate standardized cognitive domain scores.
The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), when carrying an activating mutation like del19 or L858R, acts as an oncogenic driver in a subset of lung tumors. While tumor responses to tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) are accompanied by marked tumor shrinkage, the response is usually not durable. Most patients relapse within two years of therapy often due to acquisition of an additional mutation in EGFR kinase domain that confers resistance to TKIs.

Methods: We recruited 437 consecutive chronic HF patients with baseline left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) less than 40%, who were treated with sacubitril/valsartan. All patients underwent routine echocardiographic measurement.
Axicabtagene ciloleucel (YESCARTA; Kite Pharma, a Gilead Company, Los Angeles CA) and tisagenlecleucel (KYMRIAH; Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp., Basel, Switzerland) are two CD19-directed chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell products currently approved by the US Food and Drug Administration; the European Medicines Agency; Health Canada; Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (Japan); and Therapeutic Goods Administration (Australia) for treatment of specific subtypes of relapsed/refractory aggressive B cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). Although this approval has been transformative in the use of cellular immunotherapy in lymphoma, there are concerns regarding appropriate use of this novel therapy and of short- and long-term toxicities.

Study Design: We offered the service in five states. Each participant had a videoconference with a study clinician and had pre-treatment laboratory tests and ultrasound at facilities of her choice.
Purpose: This study compares endothelial cell density (ECD) and viability between 2 different techniques used to prepare and insert Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) donor tissues. The first technique uses the naturally forming Descemet membrane (DM) scroll where the endothelial cells face outward; in the second technique, the DM is folded into thirds (trifold) with the endothelial cells facing inward.
Methods: Eighteen cadaveric corneas from 9 donors (matched pairs) were used to compare the 2 tissue-insertion techniques.

However, there is a paucity of real-world data on the effects of ARNI in heart failure patients with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), especially those with concurrent renal impairment or hypotension.
Methods: Between 2016 and 2017, we recruited 466 HFrEF patients treated with sacubitril/valsartan (Group A) and 466 patients managed with standard HF treatment without ARNI (Group B) in a HF referral center.
This study aimed to compare the performance of fabricated microbially induced precipitated calcium carbonate⁻ (MB⁻CaCO₃) based red seaweed () bio-polymer film and commercial calcium carbonate⁻ (C⁻CaCO₃) based red seaweed bio-film with the conventional biodegradable mulch film. To the best of our knowledge, there has been limited research on the application of commercial CaCO₃ (C⁻CaCO₃) and microbially induced CaCO₃ (MB⁻CaCO₃) as fillers for the preparation of films from seaweed bio-polymer and comparison with biodegradable commercial plasticulture packaging. The results revealed that the mechanical, contact angle, and biodegradability properties of the polymer composite films incorporated with C⁻CaCO₃ and MB⁻CaCO₃ fillers were comparable or even superior than the conventional biodegradable mulch film.
