Breast Cancer in Patients of Rheumatoid Arthritis with Methotrexate Therapy Mimicking Histopathological Changes after Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy.

Two breast cancer patients with a history of treatment for long-term rheumatoid arthritis (RA) had histological findings similar to histological changes seen in resected mammary gland specimens following neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). The first patient was a 64-year-old woman who visited our hospital after feeling a lump in her left breast. The second patient was a 68-year-old woman who visited our hospital for an indentation in her left nipple.

A Case of Encapsulating Peritoneal Sclerosis Complicated by Malignant Peritoneal Mesothelioma.

We report a case of peritoneal mesothelioma discovered in a patient during peritoneal dialysis. The patient was a 55-year-old woman who had no history of asbestos exposure. Owing to end-stage kidney failure, she had been undergoing peritoneal dialysis for over 8 years, and she had been diagnosed with encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis.

Variant of lymphocytic infundibulo-neurohypophysitis presenting with unique clinical and radiological features.

Lymphocytic hypophysitis (LYH) is a chronic inflammation that primarily affects the pituitary gland. This disorder has recently been classified into lymphocytic adenohypophysitis (LAH), lymphocytic infundibulo-neurohypophysitis (LINH), and lymphocytic infundibulo-panhypophysitis (LIPH) according to the affected area. We report a case of LINH in a 68-year-old woman who presented with diabetes insipidus (DI).

Clinicopathological characteristics of ganglioneuroma and ganglioneuroblastoma: a report from the CCG and COG.

Background: The International Neuroblastoma Pathology Classification (INPC) was the first to clearly define prognostic subgroups in ganglioneuroma (GN) and ganglioneuroblastoma (GNB).

Procedure: Histopathology and tumor resectability of 552 GN/GNB cases from the Children's Cancer Group (CCG) and Children's Oncology Group (COG) neuroblastoma studies were reviewed. The results were analyzed along with clinical information and biological data of the cases.

Acute glomerulonephritis in three siblings and suspected emm49-type Streptococcus pyogenes infection.

Three siblings with poststreptococcal acute glomerulonephritis are presented. Streptococcal infection, impetigo, and pharyngitis preceded the acute glomerulonephritis. In one patient, emm49-type Streptococcus pyogenes was isolated, a strain which has not been reported as nephritogenic in Japan.
