Assessing the long-term efficacy of MPXV vaccine candidates is crucial for the global response to the ongoing mpox epidemic. Built upon our previous study of the mpox quadrivalent mRNA vaccine, herein we reported that MPXV-1103 could elicit sustained humoral and cellular immunity in mice, including the induction of MPXV A35/B6/A29/M1-specific IgG antibodies, VACV neutralizing antibodies and activated cytotoxic CD8T cells, which provides 100% protection against lethal VACV challenge even at 280 days after the first vaccination. Our results provide critical insights for orthopoxvirus vaccine development.

Speech change is a biometric marker for Parkinson's disease (PD). However, evaluating speech variability across diverse languages is challenging. We aimed to develop a cross-language algorithm differentiating between PD patients and healthy controls using a Taiwanese and Korean speech data set.

However, most ribose-modified NAs do not present broad-spectrum features, likely due to differences in ribose-RdRP interactions across virus families. Here, we show that HNC-1664, an adenosine analog with modifications both in ribose and base, has broad-spectrum antiviral activity against positive-strand coronaviruses and negative-strand arenaviruses.

The development of a scalable and effective vaccine against the ongoing epidemic of mpox is urgently needed. We previously constructed two bivalent MPXV mRNA vaccines, LBA (B6R-A29L) and LAM (A35R-M1R), and a quadrivalent mRNA vaccine, LBAAM (B6R-A35R-A29L-M1R).

In this setting, community pharmacies often act in a medication supply role, yet their broader involvement in supporting people in the last year of life is less well understood. Aim This study aimed to review the literature on community pharmacies supporting adults with palliative care needs in their last year of life, emphasising challenges to optimising their role and improving equity and service accessibility.

Methods: A retrospective review of liver-only mCRC patients treated with BBC from December 2011 to Apr 2021 was performed. Patients who had metachronous liver metastases or received locoregional treatment before the initiation of BBC were excluded.
Introduction: While left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) represents an important means by which to classify patients with heart failure (HF), relatively little is known about the distribution of LVEFs among patients hospitalized for HF based on their International Classification of Disease (ICD)-10 code.
Methods: We performed a retrospective cross-sectional analysis of patients admitted to a large integrated health system within the western US between January 1, 2018 and October 1, 2022 with a principal diagnosis of HF (defined by ICD-10 codes: I50.2, systolic HF; I50.
Background: There are limited data on the real-world utilization of disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) in Indian patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
Methods: This was a cross-sectional study of a multicentric observational cohort of RA patients across rheumatology clinics at six centers across India. Patients who met the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) 2010 criteria for RA were included.
Introduction: Rural populations have higher rates of tobacco use but are less likely to use evidence-based smoking cessation treatments than urban residents. There is limited evidence on the use of smoking cessation treatments and the factors associated with their use in rural populations. This study explored quit attempts, use of smoking cessation treatments, quitting intention and associated factors among rural residents seeking smoking cessation treatment.

Methods: A Risk Score to predict long-term recurrence was developed using Cox regression based on 2668 patients.
The composition, microstructure, and electrochemical properties of the two kinds of thin film electrode materials, namely VS2/MoS2/Ni-IOS and VS2/MoS2/ Ni-foam, were analyzed. The research results indicate that the self-assembled photonic crystal templates with adjusted EPSA processing parameters (100 V/cm; 7 min) would lead to an FCC closest-packed structure. Metallic nickel inverse opal structure (IOS) photonic crystals whose thickness can be freely regulated simply by electrochemical deposition time.

We aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of shock wave therapy for skin ulcers in patients with systemic sclerosis.
Methods: In this phase 3 pivotal study, we analysed 60 systemic sclerosis patients with digital ulcers that did not disappear after >4 weeks of existing treatment: 30 patients were treated with extracorporeal shock wave therapy and 30 with conventional treatment.
Background: Unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) and high tibial osteotomy (HTO) are treatment options for patients with medial spontaneous osteonecrosis of the knee (SONK).
Purpose: To compare the clinical outcomes after UKA and HTO in patients with SONK.
Study Design: Cohort study; Level of evidence, 3.
Background: Twin atrioventricular (AV) nodes (TWAVNs) are common in heterotaxy syndrome.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the presence and implications of TWAVNs and accessory pathways in congenital heart diseases (CHDs) with abnormal AV connections.
Methods: A retrospective study of a 1980-2022 cohort with sufficient electrocardiographic (ECG) data for review was conducted.
Graphene-supported organic iridium clusters (GSOICs) have been designed, prepared, characterized, and used for -alkylation of amines hydrogen borrowing reactions. Structural analysis data (including IR, XPS, TEM and EDS) show that organoiridium clusters are uniformly formed on the surface of graphene, and the grain size of GSOIC is between 1 and 3 nm. After being activated by the auxiliary ligand TMPP (tris(4-methoxyphenyl)phosphine), GSOIC showed excellent catalytic performance for hydrogen borrowing reaction, with its turnover frequency (TOF) reaching 13.

We report the synthesis, structures, and magnetic properties of two novel linear tetranuclear complexes with the general formula [Dy(Hheb)(heb)X(MeOH)] (X = NO, OAc; Hheb = ()-'-(1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)ethylidene)benzohydrazide, OAc = acetate). The rigid ligands (Hheb/heb) incorporate phenoxide groups and bridge the Dy ions in an unusual tetranuclear linear assembly. Notably, we demonstrate through magnetic measurements and theoretical calculations how the anion (X) coordinated at the peripheral Dy centers acts as a switch, significantly changing the magnetic anisotropy of the entire complex.

RBA necessitates implementing risk reduction activities that are proportionate to risk in order to reduce avoidable quality issues. However, there is no consistent methodology or research for identifying and evaluating risks and planning risk reduction activities.
