The reconfigurable feature of FPGAs (Field-Programmable Gate Arrays) has made them a very attractive solution for implementing adaptive systems-on-chip. However, this implies additional design tasks to handle system reconfiguration and control, which increases design complexity. To address this issue, this paper proposes a model-driven design flow that guides the designer through the description of the different elements of a reconfigurable system.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA probabilistic reconstruction of genealogies in a polyploid population (from 2x to 4x) is investigated, by considering genetic data analyzed as the probability of allele presence in a given genotype. Based on the likelihood of all possible crossbreeding patterns, our model enables us to infer and to quantify the whole potential genealogies in the population. We explain in particular how to deal with the uncertain allelic multiplicity that may occur with polyploids.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFIn the present study, the root extract of Rhus oxyacantha contained 25.33 mg of catechin equivalent per mg of fresh wt and was found rich in proanthocyanidins compared to vine shoot, grape pips and leaves. The chromatographic analysis of the extract suggested the presence of (+) catechin, (-) epicatechin -3-O-gallate as well as proanthocyanidinic oligomers and polymers.
