Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of various disinfectants for extracting human teeth. The objectives were to assess the effectiveness of 5% vinegar, 3% hydrogen peroxide, 70% alcohol, and 5.25% sodium hypochlorite for disinfection of extracted human teeth.

A Comparative Study of Dexamethasone Ointment along with Triamcinolone Acetonide in Treatment of Recurrent Aphthous Stomatitis.

Aim: To assess and compare the efficacy of dexamethasone ointment with triamcinolone acetonide, the gel form, in the treatment of minor recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS).

Materials And Methods: This was a randomized clinical trial of 60 patients of either sex with clinically diagnosed RAS who were randomly divided into two groups-the dexamethasone ointment group (Group I) and the triamcinolone acetonide gel group (Group II). Patients were asked to apply the gel three times a day on each ulcer.

Hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia: A rare entity.

Hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia (HED) is a genetic disorder which involves a complex group of inherited conditions. This condition is characterised by the failed development of two or more ectodermal derived anatomic structure; for example, the skin, hair, nails, teeth, and sweat glands. It is a phenotypically heterogenous group of illnesses including anodontia with conical teeth, generalised spacing, reduced ability to sweat, very less hair growth, etc.

Assessment of Role of Complete Dentures in Improving the Chewing Efficiency of Edentulous Patients.

Introduction: The loss of teeth leads to difficulty in chewing and smiling and an unesthetic appearance. The present study assessed the role of complete dentures in improving the chewing efficiency of edentulous patients.

Materials And Methods: Eighty-two complete denture wearers of age group 40-75 years of both genders were enrolled in the study.
