COEPA ready: Innovative pedagogy for integrating social determinants of health in PharmD curricula.

Background: The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy Curriculum Outcomes and Entrustable Professional Activities (COEPA) recognize the need for social determinants of health (SDH) education for pharmacy learners. However, there is a dearth of published strategies for incorporating comprehensive SDH education in Doctor of Pharmacy curricula. The objectives of this study were to: 1) highlight unpublished exemplars of SDH teaching models and 2) propose strategies for teaching SDH.

Artificial Intelligence-based Software for Breast Arterial Calcification Detection on Mammograms.

Objective: The performance of a commercially available artificial intelligence (AI)-based software that detects breast arterial calcifications (BACs) on mammograms is presented.

Methods: This retrospective study was exempt from IRB approval and adhered to the HIPAA regulations. Breast arterial calcification detection using AI was assessed in 253 patients who underwent 314 digital mammography (DM) examinations and 143 patients who underwent 277 digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) examinations between October 2004 and September 2022.

Potential Impact of an Artificial Intelligence-based Mammography Triage Algorithm on Performance and Workload in a Population-based Screening Sample.

Objective: To evaluate potential screening mammography performance and workload impact using a commercial artificial intelligence (AI)-based triage device in a population-based screening sample.

Methods: In this retrospective study, a sample of 2129 women who underwent screening mammograms were evaluated. The performance of a commercial AI-based triage device was compared with radiologists' reports, actual outcomes, and national benchmarks using commonly used mammography metrics.

Daratumumab, bortezomib, melphalan, and prednisone versus bortezomib, melphalan, and prednisone alone in transplant-ineligible Asian patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma: final analysis of the phase 3 OCTANS Study.

The superiority and tolerability of daratumumab plus bortezomib/melphalan/prednisone (D-VMP) versus bortezomib/melphalan/prednisone (VMP) in transplant-ineligible patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM) was previously described in the global phase 3 ALCYONE study. A deep learning (DL) model for mammographic density grading was examined in a retrospective multi-reader multi-case study consisting of 928 image pairs and assessed for impact on inter- and intra-reader variability and reading time. Background: Poverty negatively affects the lives and health of the poor. However, health professionals often have limited personal experience and receive little formal education on surviving under conditions of poverty in the United States, which may contribute to suboptimal patient care and outcomes.
