[Progress on chemical constituents and quality control of Bovis Calculus and its substitutes].

Bovis Calculus, a traditional medicine with the role of clearing away heat and detoxification, extinguishing wind to arrest convulsions, is often used for brain-cerebrovascular diseases. However, the quality control of Bovis Calculus and its substitutes has attracted much attention due to the scarcity of resources and limitations of use. Based on the evolution of the use of substitutes and the chemical composition as the entry point, this article reviews the quality control methods from the following three aspects.

Compound diclofenac sodium chlorphenamine maleate tablets (CDCT) are widely used for the cold in Asia. However, CDCT can cause hematuria symptoms in clinical, and the underlying mechanism is unknown. This study aims to investigate the CDCT-induced changes of morphology in kidney and metabolites and further explore the possible mechanisms of CDCT-induced nephrotoxicity.

As a homologous material of both medicine and food, licorice is a famous traditional Chinese medicine. In the application process, different origins and different extraction methods have an impact on the intrinsic quality of licorice. In order to ensure the intrinsic quality of commercially available licorice products, and to explore the influence of origin and extraction methods on the quality of licorice, we put forward a simple and effective discriminatory method for "chemometrics analysis-based fingerprint establishment".

Our previous study elucidated that TSD reduced the volume of uterine bleedings as well as repaired the endometrium.
