Article Synopsis
  • A study examined the effects of long-term soy peptide consumption on mood-related behavior in male mice, using a diet with 7% soy peptide for 70 days.
  • The researchers tested two behaviors: sucrose preference to assess anhedonia and a tail suspension test to measure despair.
  • Results showed that mice on the soy peptide diet had a higher preference for sucrose, indicating reduced anhedonia, but there was no significant difference in despair levels between the two groups.

Although interleukin (IL)-33 is a candidate aggravator of asthma, the cellular sources of IL-33 in the lungs during the progression of antigen-induced airway inflammation remain unclear. Furthermore, it has not been determined whether the antigen-induced production of IL-33 can be pharmacologically modulated in vivo. In this study, we examined the production of IL-33 in the lungs of sensitized mice during multiple intratracheal challenges with the antigen, ovalbumin.
