Liver transplantation (LT) is a potentially curative experimental treatment for unresectable intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (iCC). Pre-transplant downstaging may help defining tumor aggressiveness and drive patient selection. In the widespread use of medical cyclotrons for isotope production, radiological and economic consequences related to the decommissioning of particle accelerators are often neglected. The present policy statement summarises aspects of three directives relating to the therapeutic use of radiopharmaceuticals and medical devices, and outlines the steps needed for implementation of patient dosimetry for radioactive drugs. To support the transition from administrations of fixed activities to personalised treatments based on patient-specific dosimetry, EFOMP presents a number of recommendations including: increased networking between centres and disciplines to support data collection and development of codes-of-practice; resourcing to support an infrastructure that permits routine patient dosimetry; research funding to support investigation into individualised treatments; inter-disciplinary training and education programmes; and support for investigator led clinical trials.

Methods: The TheraSphere Global DSC is comprised of health care providers across multiple disciplines involved in the treatment of HCC with yttrium-90 (Y-90) glass microsphere-based transarterial radioembolization (TARE). Literature published between January 2019 and September 2021 was reviewed, discussed, and adjudicated by the Delphi method.
Aims: To compare the association of high serum uric acid (HUA) or metabolic syndrome (MetS) with fatty liver disease (FLD) in youths with overweight/obesity (OW/OB).
Materials And Methods: Cross-sectional study of anthropometrics, biochemical variables, and liver ultrasound of 3104 individuals with OW/OB (age 5-17 years). Metabolic syndrome was defined by ≥ 3 criteria among (1) high waist circumference; (2) high triglycerides; (3) low high-density lipoproteins; (4) fasting glucose ≥100 mg/dl; (5) blood pressure ≥95 percentile in children, and ≥130/80 mmHg in adolescents.
Objective: To estimate the incidence of hypophosphatemia in preterm infants according to parenteral nutrition received and to evaluate associated risk factors.
Design: A prospective multicenter cohort study included 111 patients ≤ 1250 g (7 NICUs of the NEOCOSUR Network). Two groups were compared according to the amino-acid supply in the first 48 h: aggressive parenteral group ≥ 3 g/kg/day and standard parenteral group: <2.
In this confirmatory study, we tested if a calculation that included the non-uniformity of dose deposition through a voxel-based dosimetric variable was able to improve the dose-response agreement with respect to the mean absorbed dose D. We performed dosimetry with Tc-MAA SPECT/CT and Y-PET/CT in 86 patients treated 8 instead of 4 days after the reference date with 2.8 times more Y glass microspheres/GBq than in our previous study.

Cesarean hysterectomy is widely practiced in women with placenta accreta spectrum; however, the maternal outcomes after cesarean hysterectomy have not been thoroughly compared with the maternal outcomes after alternative approaches, such as conservative management.
Objective: This study aimed to compare the severe maternal outcomes between women with placenta accreta spectrum treated with cesarean hysterectomy and those treated with conservative management (leaving the placenta in situ).
The aim of this standard operational procedure is to standardize the methodology employed for the evaluation of pre- and post-treatment absorbed dose calculations in Y microsphere liver radioembolization. Background And Aims: Perilipin 2 (PLIN2) regulates intracellular lipid metabolism in macrophages, and thus, plays a role in atherosclerosis. Aim of the study was to evaluate whether PLIN2 dysregulation is involved in the onset of preclinical atherosclerosis in children with overweight/obesity and to explore dysregulation mechanisms.
Methods: Sixty-three children with overweight/obesity and 21 normal weight children (controls) of the same age and sex were enrolled.
Objective: To compare the prevalence of mildly reduced estimated glomerular filtration rate (MRGFR) (eGFR >60 and < 90 mL/min/1.73 m), calculated by two creatinine-based equations, and its association with cardiometabolic risk factors (CMRF) in youth with overweight (OW)/obesity (OB).
