Electric boats are thought to be noiseless, but in-situ measurements are generally rare. The Underwater Radiated Noise (URN) of 8-m Trimaran Pontoon Boat with two outboard electric engines was measured in the Miramare Marine Protected Area (Trieste, Italy), together with the URN of a fibreglass 5-m boat, with a outboard gasoline engine, for comparisons. International standards and guidelines for shallow waters were considered.

Malformations of cortical development are a frequent cause of drug-resistant Epilepsy and developmental delay. Hemimegalencephaly is a Malformation of cortical development characterized by enlargement of all or a part of one cerebral hemisphere. Germline and somatic mutation in genes belonging to the Mammalian Target of Rapamycin (mTOR) pathway has been identified in patients suffering from epilepsy secondary to Hemimegalencephaly and focal cortical dysplasia.

Since previous data have provided conflicting results on immunoresponsiveness in senile dementia, Alzheimer type (SDAT), we evaluated the immune function in groups of SDAT patients and aged and young donors. In comparison to the younger subjects, SDAT and aged subjects did not exhibit significant differences in lymphocyte surface markers. Both groups of aged donors showed decreased B cell polyclonal responsiveness in a nonspecific T cell-driven B lymphocyte differentiation system.
