The role of colleague incivility in linking work-related stressors and job burnout. A cross-sectional study in a sample of faculty administrative employees.

Background: Colleague incivility is one of the subtlest forms of workplace aggression, referring to any low-intensity deviant behavior in violation of the norms of mutual respect with ambiguous intent to harm the target. Although a large corpus of literature has identified the negative consequences of colleague incivility for workers and their organizations, there is a paucity of studies aimed at examining the role played by job characteristics in triggering this form of aggression. The present study, referring to the work environment assumption of Einarsen (2000), proposes that workplace aggression is primarily affected by factors related to deficiencies in the psychosocial work environment.

Long term effects of gluten-free diet in non-celiac wheat sensitivity.

Background & Aims: Information about the clinical outcome of patients with non-celiac wheat sensitivity (NCWS) treated with gluten-free diet (GFD) derive from studies assessing the symptom response in the first few weeks of treatment. We aimed to evaluate the clinical response to the GFD and the quality of life (QoL) of NCWS patients in the long term.

Background: The association of recombinant FSH (rFSH) plus recombinant LH (rLH) is currently used for Controlled Ovarian Stimulation (COS) in human IVF, but its efficacy has, to date, not yet been compared to that of human Menopausal Gonadotropin (hMG), the FSH + LH activity-containing urinary drug.

Methods: Eight hundred forty-eight (848) IVF patients classified as expected "poor" or "normal" responders according to antral follicle count (AFC) and basal (day 3) FSH were treated with rFSH + rLH (2:1 ratio, n = 398, Group A) or hMG (n = 450, Group B). Data were collected under real-life practice circumstances and the pregnancy rate with fresh embryos was calculated by stratifying patients according to the number of retrieved oocytes (1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, >8).

Background And Purpose: In the 1990s, the introduction of the Guglielmi detachable coil (GDC) system in clinical practice was followed by extensive clinical use of this endovascular device in the treatment of brain aneurysms. This technology is based on electrothrombosis and electrolytic detachment of platinum coils. Despite the extensive use of this treatment technique, the role of electrothrombosis has not been fully investigated and clarified.
