Large water Cherenkov detectors have shaped our current knowledge of neutrino physics and nucleon decay, and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. These highly capable detectors allow for directional and topological, as well as calorimetric information to be extracted from signals on their photosensors. The current state-of-the-art approach to water Cherenkov reconstruction relies on maximum-likelihood estimation, with several simplifying assumptions employed to make the problem tractable.

Objectives: It is known that the risk of cerebral stroke recurrence in post-stroke patients is comparatively higher than in normal subjects, and it is suggested that autonomic nervous system dysfunctions elevate this risk. We investigated the anti-hypertensive effects of cilnidipine, a Ca antagonist which suppresses sympathetic nerve activation, in hypertensives with chronic-stage cerebrovascular disease in a comparison with amlodipine.

Methods: Amlodipine 5-7.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients requiring total joint arthroplasties under administration of infliximab, which may remain in donated blood if preoperative autologous blood donation (PABD) is undertaken for the surgery, may risk infection. We clarified infliximab hemokinetics in blood stored for such patients. A 20-ml blood sample was obtained from each of the ten RA patients receiving infliximab at just after administration and at 2 and 4 weeks following the administration of infliximab, mixed with 2.
