Background: Over the past few decades, several studies have found that semen quality parameters have steadily declined over time. Many hypotheses have been made to explain this finding, among which a sedentary lifestyle has been investigated. To synthesize the current evidence, we performed a systematic review of published papers reporting on the relationship between sedentary habits and semen parameters.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed on data from a prospective cohort study conducted between 2014 and 2016.
Results: Participants were 238 women undergoing in vitro fertilization and participating in a study on the role of lifestyle habits and diet in ART outcomes.
Objective: To compare patient satisfaction rate in postmenopausal women who chose dynamic quadripolar radiofrequency or topical estrogens as their preferred treatment for genitourinary syndrome of menopause.
Methods: Patients were divided into two groups according to their preference: one was treated with estrogen therapy (ET) and the other with dynamic quadripolar radiofrequency treatment (RF). All patients included fulfilled a series of validated questionnaires, at baseline and at the 6-mo follow-up, in order to evaluate the discomfort degree associated with the presence of vulvovaginal atrophy and the impact of the reported symptoms on QoL and sexuality.
Introduction: Peritoneal infiltrating and fibrotic endometriosis, also known as deep endometriosis, is the most severe manifestation of the disease that can cause severe complications including bowel and ureteral stenosis. The natural history of these lesions and the possible effect of hormonal treatments on their progression are undefined. Therefore, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to investigate whether and how frequently deep endometriosis progresses over time without or with ovarian suppression.

He identified the following criteria: (a) clear evidence of endometriosis in proximity to the tumour, (b) exclusion of a metastatic tumour to the ovary, (c) presence of tissue resembling endometrial stroma surrounding epithelial glands. The naming of these cancers is "endometriosis-associated ovarian cancer" (EAOC).

Methods: Eligible studies were identified in PubMed and Embase databases.
Background: Since the 1970s, several studies found that sperm concentration (SC) and total sperm count (TSC) constantly worsened over time, mainly in high-income countries.
Objectives: To evaluate whether the decreasing trend in sperm count is continuing in Western European countries and USA, we performed a systematic review and meta-regression analysis.
Materials And Methods: Embase and Pubmed/Medline were searched papers published in English in the 2000-2020 period limiting the search to data collected in the USA and Western European countries.

A strong association between alcohol intake and endometriosis risk has already been shown. We aimed to confirm this association, considering the updated literature.

Iron (Fe) status among healthy male and female blood donors, aged 18-65 years, is estimated. General characteristics and lifestyle factors, dietary habits and major one-carbon metabolism-related polymorphisms were also investigated. An explorative cross-sectional study design was used to examine a sample of blood donors attending the Transfusion Medicine Unit of the Verona University Hospital, Italy.

In particular, no systematic review has analyzed the role of treatment with D-mannose in acute UTI/cystitis. In this paper, we systematically reviewed the published data on the effect of D-mannose, alone or in association with other compounds, on the typical symptoms of UTI/cystitis.

Methods: PubMed/Medline and EMBASE databases were searched, from 1990 up to March 2020, using the following keywords: 'tacrolimus', 'sirolimus', 'temsirolimus', 'everolimus', 'deforolimus', 'mTOR' and 'ovarian cysts' (Limit: Human, English, full article). Studies were selected for the review if they met the following criteria: clinical studies, studies reporting original data, studies reporting the number of patients using mTORi, studies reporting the number of patients with ovarian cysts.
Background: Over the past years medical centres specifically addressed in gender-based violence have developed protocols for the collections of evidence useful in the courtroom, including accurate documentation of physical and psychological states of the victim and collection of samples. Previous studies showed an association between documented physical trauma and conviction but unfortunately, few studies in the recent literature analysed the factors that influence the legal outcome and final judgement. The present study focused on the elements that appeared of significance in the legal outcome, including medico-legal evaluation, source of the crime report and circumstance of the assault.

As a consequence of sharing of symptoms and chronic inflammation, endometriosis and IBS may coexist and be misdiagnosed and this leads to delays in diagnosis, mismanagement, and unnecessary testing. In recent years, some studies have found higher risk of IBS in women with endometriosis, compared to women without endometriosis.

The potential link between endometriosis and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) has been investigated over the last twenty years. Endometriosis shares with IBD features and symptoms so to become a significant diagnostic challenge, resulting in a delayed or indeterminate diagnosis. We conducted a systematic review to summarize the available data in literature on the co-diagnosis of IBD and endometriosis.

Background: Endometrial polyps are a common condition. The risk of malignancy has often led to an overtreatment with high health care costs and huge psychological distress.
Objective: We conducted a systematic review and a meta-analysis in order to estimate the prevalence of premalignant and malignant lesions in women undergoing hysteroscopic polypectomy.
