An alignment-free sensing module for the positioning system based on tunneling magnetoresistive (TMR) sensors with an absolute-incremental-integrated scale is demonstrated. The sensors of the proposed system for both lines consist of identical layer stacks; therefore, all sensors can be fabricated in identical processes from thin film deposition to device patterning on a single substrate. Consequently, the relative position of the sensors can be predefined at the lithography stage and the alignment error between sensors caused by the manual installation is completely eliminated.

Procedures: After baseline magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), 36 Sprague-Dawley rats with bilateral renal IRI were divided equally as groups 1, 2, and 3 (non-treated rats) and groups 4, 5, and 6 (ADMSC-treated rats, with 2 million ADMSCs injected via the tail vein at 6 h after IRI). Groups 1 and 4, 2 and 5, and 3 and 6 were euthanized at days 1, 3, and 7, respectively, after renal MRI.
This study tested the hypothesis that exendin-4 (Ex4) protects kidneys against ischemia-reperfusion (IR) injury mainly through upregulation of nuclear-factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) signaling and downregulation of oxidative stress. Male-adult Sprague-Dawley rats (n=24) were equally divided into group 1 (sham-operated control), group 2 [IR only, ischemia (1 h)/reperfusion (72 h)] and group 3 (IR-Ex4, 10 μg/kg at 30 min, 24 h, 48 h after IR procedure). The in vitro study demonstrated that the protein expressions of phosphorylated (p)-Akt and Nrf2 were significantly progressively increased at time points of 0/0.

After baseline MRI, 24 Spraque-Dawley rats with renal IRI were divided equally as group 1 (post-IRI MRI at 6 hours, days 1, 3, and 7) and groups 2, 3, and 4 (post-IRI MRI at 6 hours; 6 hours and day 1; 6 hours, days 1 and 3, respectively), while six other rats without IRI (group 5) were used as sham control. ADC, T1, and T2 values of the cortex and outer and inner stripes of outer medulla (OSOM and ISOM), and immunohistochemical studies assessing monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), CD68+ cells, tubular cast formation, and collagen deposition in three zones at different time points were evaluated.

Procedures: The controls (n = 6) and LCC-MP-treated rats (n = 6) with N1S1-induced pulmonary metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) underwent dual-source CT (DSCT) on days 10, 15, and 20. Cellular and molecular studies were performed subsequently.
We sought to evaluate the effects of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADMSCs) exosomes on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in rats using apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC), natural killer T-cell (NKT-cell) responses, and histopathological features. ADMSC-derived exosomes appeared as nanoparticles (30-90 nm) on electron microscopy and were positive for CD63, tumor susceptibility gene-101, and β-catenin on western blotting. The control (n = 8) and exosome-treated (n = 8) rats with N1S1-induced HCC underwent baseline and posttreatment day 10 and day 20 magnetic resonance imaging and measurement of ADC.

In the current study, with 24 infant-parent dyads, infant volubility increased significantly when parent interaction ceased (presenting a "still face," or SF) after a period of normal interaction ("face-to-face," or FF). Infant volubility continued at the higher rate than in FF when the parent re-engaged ("reunion," or RE).

Twelve minipigs subjected to permanent left anterior descending artery ligation were randomized as tac-treated group (n=6, with intracoronary tacrolimus treatment) and controls (n=6). CMR with cine and late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) studies were performed on postoperative days 2, 5, and 21.
