Two-dimensional silicon-based material siligene (SiGe) has a low diffusion barrier and high theoretical specific capacity, but the conductivity drops sharply after being fully lithiated. To improve their electrical conductivity, the three heterostructures (SV-G/S, DV-G/S, and SW-G/S) formed with defective graphene and SiGe were proposed and the feasibility of them as anode materials was analyzed systematically. Based on density functional theory, the structural properties of defective graphene/SiGe heterostructures (Def-G/S), the adsorption and diffusion behaviours of Li, the voltage and theoretical capacity, and electrical conductivity during the lithiation process were investigated.

This study aims to examine the feasibility of ML-assisted salivary-liquid-biopsy platforms using genome-wide methylation analysis at the base-pair and regional resolution for delineating oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs). A nested cohort of patients with OSCC and OPMDs was randomly selected from among patients with oral mucosal diseases. Saliva samples were collected, and DNA extracted from cell pellets was processed for reduced-representation bisulfite sequencing.

Individual social responsibility is essential to achieving the sustainable development goals of the society, yet there has been very little research on whether and how social and cultural factors influence individual social responsibility. Using the Covid-19 pandemic as our empirical context, this research examines the relationship between social capital and individual social distancing behaviors during the pandemic. Social distancing is a form of socially responsible behavior because it is critical in mitigating the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

HIV-1 integrase catalyzed the insertion of viral DNA into the genome of human cells in the process of retrotranscription. Integrase is an attractive target for HIV-1 treatment due to the lack of its homologue in human cells and its vital role in HIV-1 replication. Although major progress in the development of HIV-1 integrase inhibitors has been made, some thorny problems, such as drug resistance, led to the further study of HIV-1 integrase inhibitors.

This review sought to determine the range and nature of prospective-sampling and blinding methods for validating nonviral biofluid markers diagnostic of head and neck carcinomas. Electronic database searching was conducted to identify studies published in English from January 1, 2009 to August 1, 2020. Sixteen studies from 17 articles published between 2011 and 2020 were included in this review.

Background: Chemical restraint is often required to control agitation induced by methamphetamine. Dexmedetomidine is an α-2 adrenergic receptor agonist with sedative, analgesic, and sympatholytic properties. Its use in the emergency department (ED) to control methamphetamine-induced agitation has not been reported.
