Wound bed preparation is the management of a wound in order to accelerate endogenous healing or to facilitate the effectiveness of split-skin grafting. The formation of a healthy wound bed is a prerequisite to the use of advanced wound care products. Unless this is achieved, even the most sophisticated and expensive materials are unlikely to function correctly.
