The authors analysed results from a hysterosalpingographic study on 58 women with primary sterility, on whom wedge resection of the ovaries was performed in the past. It was established that changes in the uterine tubes were found in more than 1/3 of the examined women and consisted mainly of periampullary adhesions as the two tubes were involved usually. On the basis of the obtained results an inference is made that the usage of resection of ovaries for treatment of some forms of female sterility should be applied only in cases, when conservative methods for treatment are completely inefficient.

Data on hysterographic examination are analysed in 57 women, in whom there are roentgenologic signs for myomatous nodes, localized submucosally. An attempt is made to systematize characteristic changes in this lesion (measures, location, form and outlines). A conclusion is reached that roentgenological examination with the possibility objectively to establish the existence of submucous myomas, on the one hand and to determine their typical morphological peculiarities, on the other, could help to diagnose cases with obscure clinical history.

The combination of a missing ovary and uterine tube on the one side (the syndrome of Slotnik-Goldfarb) with ipsilateral absence of the uterine horn is a rare anomaly, undescribed in our obstetric-gynecological literature. The difficulties in the diagnosis of this anomaly are connected with the necessity to use invasive methods for establishment of respective changes. The method was used in a woman, suffering from sterility, in connection with examining the possibilities of dynamic gamma-camera scintigraphy to discover ovarian parenchyma.
