Epigenetic clocks provide an accurate molecular readout of epigenetic age and epigenetic age acceleration (EAA) derived from DNA methylation data have shown promise as biomarkers of ageing. This systematic review synthesised research on associations between EAA measures and various physiological, cognitive, social, and environmental factors. A comprehensive search strategy identified 299 publications reporting 1050 unique EAA-factor associations based on 53 methylation clocks.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAberrant DNA methylation (DNAm) is known to be associated with the aetiology of cancer, including colorectal cancer (CRC). In the past, the availability of open access data has been the main driver of innovative method development and research training. However, this is increasingly being eroded by the move to controlled access, particularly of medical data, including cancer DNAm data.

The article presents the results of a study of the labor strategies of youth included in the personnel reproduction of regional health care. The authors of the article consider the results of a complex sociological study of graduates of educational medical organizations and specialized medical classes (focus group studies, target survey; n = 1027). The research made it possible to answer questions about the dynamics of professional motivation of young people, to determine labor strategies and reasons for choosing in life planning.

This was implemented by splitting the data into groups with positive and negative EAAs. We observed strong association between all EAA scores and sex, suggesting that any analysis of EAAs should be adjusted by sex.

In Russia, despite the existing prerequisites for the development of bioethanol industry, the real production of bioethanol is not executed, which is associated with its high price. One of the promising ways of leveling this drawback is the utilization of water-cut waste from its production, involving ethyl alcohol impurity concentrate (EAIC) instead of pure ethanol.

Among different biofuels is introducing renewable fuel additives as prospective beneficial blendstocks towards fulfilling systematic, low-carbon technologies internal combustion engines. This research article proposes a new approach to formulate a Fuzzy modeling for examining various promising alternative renewable oxygenated compounds, including ethanol, isopropanol, MTBE, and 2-methyl furan into heavy hydrocracked gasoline a base fuel.

The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the implementation of the respiratory bacterial culture sampling in the clinical practice of the Russian Federation's therapeutic departments and its impact on inpatient care.
Methods: The study included 1,344 patients with community-acquired pneumonia.
To illuminate modern ideas about Gilbert's syndrome (GS). GS is a common familial hyperbilirubinemia that can reduce the risk of various age-related diseases due to the antioxidant properties of bilirubin. In this case, slightly elevated unconjugated bilirubin in GS is strongly associated with a "reduced" prevalence of chronic diseases, in particular cardiovascular disease (CVD), as well as CVD-related and all-cause mortality.

Aim: Magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) allows studying the content of many metabolites in neural tissue in vivo. There are numerous studies devoted to the MRS data analysis in Alzheimer's disease (AD), but their results are contradictory. Thus, it is rational to compare the data obtained with MRS and positron emission tomography (PET) with fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG), which allows evaluating the brain functional state.

The study included 246 men aged 48 to 65 years (mean age 58 years (53,0; 63,0)) with stable form of ischemic heart disease - angina FC II-III CHF I-III FC (NYHA), observed during 2012-2015. To assess the level of oxidative stress in all patients by ELISA was determined by lipid peroxide, total antioxidant status (CCA) and levels of non-enzymatic antioxidant bilirubin (BR).

Currently, there are two opposing views on feature binding in the auditory modality: according to behavioral studies, this process requires focused attention, whereas electrophysiological studies suggest that feature binding may be fully automatic and independent of attention. Here, we examined whether feature binding depends on higher-level attentional processes by manipulating the attentional focus. We used four auditory stimuli that differed in two features: pitch and location.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFCurrent understanding of feature binding remains controversial. Studies involving mismatch negativity (MMN) measurement show a low level of binding, whereas behavioral experiments suggest a higher level. We examined the possibility that the two levels of feature binding coexist and may be shown within one experiment.

We highlight and theoretically substantiate the integrated physiological parameters of the oxygen-dependent energy deficit types. We address the features of abnormalities in neuroreflectory and neurohumora regulatory mechanisms of the wakefulness level and its vegetative and hemodynamic provision in different types of energy deficit in children with DSMD, ADHD and school maladjustment.

The comparison with previously tested isolates and strains has shown that newly isolated isolates can be placed into five previously described phylogenetic groups: Arctic group, Central Russian group, Eurasian group, Northern European group, and Caucasian group. The Arctic group isolates detected in Komi republic were identical to previously described rabies virus strain from Yakutia.
