Unlabelled: The reaction of 4-arylidene-2-phenyloxazol-5(4)-ones with enamines of ethyl acetoacetate gave 4-aryl-2-methyl-6-oxo-5-[(phenylcarbonyl)amino]-1,4,5,6-tetrahydropyridine-3-carboxylic acid esters, which, when heated with phosphorus oxychloride, were converted into esters of 7-aryl-5-methyl-2-phenyloxazolo[5,4-]pyridine-6-carboxylic acids. Alkaline hydrolysis of these compounds gave 4-aryl-2-methyl-6-oxo-5-[(phenylcarbonyl)amino]-1,6-dihydropyridine-3-carboxylic acid esters.

Flow coefficients v_{n} of the orders n=1-6 are measured with the High-Acceptance DiElectron Spectrometer (HADES) at GSI for protons, deuterons, and tritons as a function of centrality, transverse momentum, and rapidity in Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=2.4 GeV. Combining the information from the flow coefficients of all orders allows us to construct for the first time, at collision energies of a few GeV, a multidifferential picture of the angular emission pattern of these particles.

The discovered rearrangement is applied to a variety of electron-rich (hetero)arene substrates. It offers the advantages of mild conditions (90 °C temperature), fast reaction rates (<4 h), compatibility with air moisture, and the use of inexpensive commercial reagents.

To evaluate the actual nutrition of children receiving orthodontic treatment with bracket systems, to develop recommendations for its correction. Nutrition composition was assessed using a software analyzing the frequency of food consumption. Two groups of children were distinguished: the main group (without dentoalveolar anomalies) and the comparison group (with bracket systems).

The double ratio (K^{-}/K^{+})_{W}/(K^{-}/K^{+})_{C} is found to be 0.

This work aimed to reveal the statistically reliable clinical and laboratory markers, which are associated with fatal outcomes in patients with hemorrhagic shock of the III degree on the stage of hospital treatment. It was stated that decrease of body temperature (till 35,9 °C), pH of venous blood (till 7,19) and content of ionized calcium (till 0,32 mmole/l) in venous blood and increase of lactate content (up to 4,1 mmole/l) in venous blood and rise of activated partial thromboplastin time (up to 59 sec) are connected with fatal outcomes.

For the first time, subthreshold Ξ^{-} production is observed in proton-nucleus interactions.

These data can be used to test predictions based on hadron helicity conservation and perturbative QCD. These data have both small statistical and systematic uncertainties and were obtained with beam energies between 1.

Methods: Using a pharmaceutical care assessment process, pharmacists identified DTPs and made therapeutic recommendations.
Intensive theoretical and experimental efforts over the past decade have aimed at explaining the discrepancy between data for the proton electric to magnetic form factor ratio, G(E)/G(M), obtained separately from cross section and polarization transfer measurements. One possible explanation for this difference is a two-photon-exchange contribution. In an effort to search for effects beyond the one-photon-exchange or Born approximation, we report measurements of polarization transfer observables in the elastic H(e[over →],e(')p[over →]) reaction for three different beam energies at a Q(2)=2.

In this Letter, we report new measurements of the proton electromagnetic form factor ratio using the recoil polarization method, at momentum transfers Q2=5.2, 6.

Modern man spends as high as 80-90% of the day time under the conditions of the closed spaces of the urbanized habitat and is constantly exposed to physical factors. The present environmental hygiene monitoring system requires great attention to the control of priority physical factors in the environment.

We report first results on a deep subthreshold production of the doubly strange hyperon Xi;{-} in a heavy-ion reaction. At a beam energy of 1.76A GeV the reaction Ar + KCl was studied with the High Acceptance Di-Electron Spectrometer at SIS18/GSI.

We determined the utility of testing CD8+ T-cell response against CMV as a predictor of late-onset CMV disease after a standard course of antiviral prophylaxis. Use of a booster dose and vaccine delivery by the intradermal rather than intramuscular route may improve response. The measured pair production probabilities span over 5 orders of magnitude from the pi(0)-Dalitz to the rho/omega invariant-mass region. Dalitz decays of pi(0) and eta account for all the yield up to 0.

Background: The clinical significance of Mycobacterium abscessus infection in the lung transplant population is not well understood.
Methods: An international survey was performed to determine the incidence and clinical outcomes of M abscessus infections before and after lung transplantation.
Results: Thirty-one (50%) of the 62 transplant centers affiliated with the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation responded to the survey.
Charged hadrons in [EQUATION: SEE TEXT] associated with particles of [EQUATION: SEE TEXT] are reconstructed in pp and Au+Au collisions at sqrt[sNN]=200 GeV. The associated multiplicity and p magnitude sum are found to increase from pp to central Au+Au collisions. The associated p distributions, while similar in shape on the nearside, are significantly softened on the awayside in central Au+Au relative to pp and not much harder than that of inclusive hadrons.

Objective: To gain an understanding of the knowledge, attitudes, and perceived barriers that healthcare professionals in 5 nontransplant hospitals in Alberta have toward organ donation and transplantation, and to identify factors that influenced participation in the donation process.
Design: A descriptive survey of critical care professionals.
Purpose: To determine the role of lung transplantation in the treatment of patients presenting with bronchogenic carcinoma and end-stage lung disease.
Methods: An international survey was conducted to determine the outcome of patients with bronchogenic carcinoma in the explanted lung at the time of transplantation. A group of 69 patients was collected from 33 centers.
Measurements of the production of forward high-energy pi(0) mesons from transversely polarized proton collisions at sqrt[s]=200 GeV are reported. The cross section is generally consistent with next-to-leading order perturbative QCD calculations. The analyzing power is small at x(F) below about 0.

The measured rho(0) peak in the invariant mass distribution is shifted by approximately 40 MeV/c(2) in minimum bias p+p interactions and approximately 70 MeV/c(2) in peripheral Au+Au collisions.

Chemical and kinetic equilibrium model fits to our data reveal strong radial flow and long duration from chemical to kinetic freeze-out in central Au+Au collisions. The chemical freeze-out temperature appears to be independent of initial conditions at RHIC energies.
