The domains of four-step technique training program (DOF) for laparoscopic colorectal surgery have been designed and implemented by our institute since 2011, and they are expected to provide a safe and effective program for trainees with limited experience in laparoscopic colorectal surgery.
Method: The DOF were established with standard surgical procedures, a four-step technique, and learning passports using point credits after the procedure was completed.
Huntington's disease (HD) is an autosomal dominant neurodegenerative disorder caused by a mutant huntingtin protein with an abnormal CAG/polyQ expansion in the N-terminus of HTT exon 1. HD is characterized by progressive neurodegeneration and metabolic abnormalities, particularly in the brain, which accounts for approximately 20 % of the body's resting metabolic rate. Dysregulation of energy homeostasis in HD includes impaired glucose transporters, abnormal functions of glycolytic enzymes, changes in tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle activity and enzyme expression in the basal ganglia and cortical regions of both HD mouse models and HD patients.

The polymers demonstrated multicolored electrochromism, high optical contrast, and remarkable enhancements in redox and electrochromic stability. Compared to other triarylamine-based polymers, the studied polyamides exhibited enhanced electrochromic stability (only 3~6% decay of its coloration efficiency at 445 nm after 14,000 switching cycles) at the first oxidation stage.

This method involves creating the common channel of both limbs of a loop stoma extracorporeally, which is particularly beneficial during laparoscopic stoma closure surgery by potentially avoiding contamination of the wound. We applied this technique in 23 patients undergoing laparoscopic stoma reversal surgery, comprising both loop colostomy and ileostomy cases.

Objective: To examine the association between CRC and the risk of subsequent diabetes mellitus and to further investigate the impact of chemotherapy on diabetes mellitus risk in CRC.
Design: A nationwide cohort study.
Background: Studies on prognostic factors for patients undergoing surgery to treat solitary liver metastases originating from colorectal cancer (CRC) are limited. This study aimed to analyze significant prognostic factors associated with tumor recurrence and long-term survival after liver resection for solitary colorectal liver metastasis.
Methods: Data from 230 patients with solitary liver metastases from CRC who received liver resection between 2010 and 2019 were retrospectively analyzed.
Purpose: Low anterior resection syndrome (LARS) has had many impacts on the lives of patients and substantial differences in emotional and social functions.
