Loss of function in epigenetic acting genes together with driver alterations in the PIK3CA pathway have been shown significantly associated with poor outcome in cervical squamous cell cancer. More recently, a CoxBoost analysis identified 16 gene alterations and 30 high level activated proteins to be of high interest, due to their association with either good or bad outcome, in the context of treatment received by chemoradiation. The objectives here were to review and confirm the significance of these molecular alterations as suggested by literature reports and to pinpoint alternate treatments options for poor-responders to chemoradiation.

The genomic characterization of cancers has shown interpatient heterogeneity regarding driver alterations, leading to the concept that generation of genomic profiling in patients with cancer could allow the selection of effective therapies. Although DNA sequencing has been implemented in practice, it remains unclear how to use its results.

B[a]P has been shown to be neurotoxic, acting directly on both the central and peripheral nervous systems, as well as indirectly via peripheral organs like liver and gut. By using a realistic B[a]P exposure scenario (0.

Participants randomly assigned to the challenge condition (n = 40) received an email each day for 24 days, that highlighted a particular strength of the day including why the strength is valuable, how to implement the strength behaviourally, and a motto related to that strength. Those in the control condition (n = 35) simply received emails containing the motto for each strength daily for 24 days.

Despite the growing interest in DW-MRS for clinical applications, little has been published on the reproducibility of this technique. In this study, we explored the optimization of a single-voxel DW-semi-LASER sequence for clinical applications at 3 T, and evaluated the reproducibility of the method under different experimental conditions.

The BPES syndrome is a rare autosomal dominant genetic disease characterized by eyelid malformations associated with premature ovarian failure (BPES type I) or not (BPES type II). The human FOXL2 protein (376 aa) contains a 100 amino-acid DNA-binding forkhead domain (residues 52-152) and a polyalanine tract (residues 221-234).
