54 laparoscopic examinations were performed in 52 pregnant women when acute surgical diseases of the abdomen were suspected. When the suspicions of acute surgical diseases in pregnant women are substantiated, diagnostic laparoscopy has high diagnostic potential and is safe for the mother and fetus. This method permits to avoid unnecessary open operations, and also to perform simple operations through laparoscope.

Lung abscess was diagnosed during a complex examination in 115 patients. All the patients had local treatment through the bronchoscope. Cleansing of the abscess cavity takes place 1,3 times quicker in the patients who were given laser irradiation in addition to sanitation bronchoscopy or to whom immunomodulators and antibiotics were introduced lymphotropically intrabronchially, than in those with usual sanitation.

Laparoscopic appendectomy was conducted in patients with acute and chronic appendicitis. The indication for appendectomy in chronic form of the disease is determined by the results of complete clinical examination and laparoscopic inspection of the region of the right iliac fossa, which is undertaken before each operative intervention.
