Unlabelled: Tumors of the parotid gland are a rare occurrence among head and neck tumors (only 3-8%), and the vast majority are benign. Most benign tumors of the parotid gland are pleomorphic adenoma (PA), followed by Warthin's tumor (WT) and they occur in the superficial lobe. The only reasonable treatment is considered to be total tumor removal, but the appropriate surgical approach remains a matter of controversy.

Checkpoint inhibitors represent the first therapeutic class to replace chemotherapy lines for the treatment of metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), due to improved overall survival and tolerability. Nivolumab, a fully human anti-programmed cell death-1 immunoglobulin G4 monoclonal antibody, is the first immune checkpoint inhibitor approved by the US Food and Drug Administration in 2014 for cases of metastatic melanoma and in 2015 for cases of squamous cell lung cancer and kidney cell cancer. The present study aimed to identify predictive markers (favorable or unfavorable) for time to treatment discontinuation using nivolumab in the second or subsequent line of therapy of metastatic NSCLC cases.

Introduction: Choroidal hemangiomas are benign vascular hamartomas that typically present from second to fourth decade of life, when they can cause visual disturbance due to exudative retinal detachment. They represent uncommon benign choroidal vascular tumors, usually occuring sporadically in the absence of systemic disease.

Material And Methods: We report the case of a young female patient, presenting a juxtapapillary circumscribed choroidal haemangioma complicated with serous macular detachment.

A 53-years old patient, with the diagnosis of diffuse choroidal hemangioma, partially ossified, associated with serous exudative retinal detachment, secondary to the choroidal neovessels, is presented. Aspects of differential diagnosis with the choroidal osteoma associated with serous exudative retinal detachment are discussed.

The paper presents the case of a 18 years old male suffering from persistent hyperplastic primary vitreous (PHPV) associated with congenital retinal folds. The clinical features and the pathogenic correlations of the two affections are discussed. Comparing to the PHPV, consequence of a embryogenesis flow appeared in the development of the primary hyaloid-vitreous complex, the congenital retinal folds are considered to be the expression of secondary changes, generated by the background of a varied vitreo-retinal pathology.

Place on record the case patient of 51 years, who evince diminution visual acuity to the right eye, due to one precapillary occlusion of cilioretinal artery. Clinical syndrome to be characterized through diminution visual acuity, ophthalmoscopic (ischemic edema) and angio-fluorographic alters (the place of obliteration, ischemic zone, coterminous vessels alters, the absence of soft exudates). Etiopathogenic to be discussed the possibility one cholesterolemic ambole due to its localization and appearance ophthalmoscopic as well easily value of cholesterolemic.

We've studied a number of 20 cases of pseudophakic explantation performed in the Eye Center Timişoara between 1991-1997 from 2605 pseudophakic implantations. The interval between implantation and the moment of explantation was between 4 days and 7 years. The causes which indicated pseudophakic explantation were: pseudophakic bullous keratopathy, IOL decentration and dislocation, uveitis, persistent secondary glaucoma.

The cronical ischemical ophthalmopathy represents an ocular clinical syndrome with well-defined clinical particularities. It is the effect of the decrease of the perfussion pressure at ACR level, during a long time period, caused by the stenosis of the aortic arch and his main branches. The paper presents a clinical observation of cronical ischemical ophthalmopathy having in ethiology the unspecific aortitis or the Takayasu-Onishi diasease.

A clinical case of juvenile macular hemorrhagic choroidopathy is presented. The affection is distinguished by the appearance to a young adult of a placard of neuroepithelium serous decoloration, and also by macular hemorrhages and the absence of other local or general inflammatory implications. This clinical case is interesting because of the very young age limit at which the illness appeared.

The paper presents data from the literature regarding the physiology and physiopathology of the corneal oedema and also some clinical and therapeutical aspects about corneal oedema secondary to the cataract operation. The physiology and physiopathology of the corneal oedema is discussed with respect to the enzymatic support, development processes of the corneal oedema, and also the operation stress produced by the cataract surgery. The corneal oedema following the cataract operation is presented with its clinical aspects (early and late) of the paraclinical determination (pachymetric, microspecular) and also of the therapeutical indications (transfixiante keratoplasty).

The paper presents a clinical case of colobomatous fossette of the optic nerve papilla complicated with macular decolation, in association with the malignant melanoma of the choroid. Some aspects of the pathogeny of the retinal decoloration are discussed in this context. Some possible corrections between the two border retinal decolorations--the serous interpapillary macular decoloration and the retinal decoloration secondary to the melanoma of the choroid--are also proposed.

Besides the ophthalmoscopic and angiofluorographic exams, the computerized tomography is an useful investigation in standing the diagnosis of optic nerve's papilla drusen. Computerized tomography effecting is recommended in cases of drusen with deep localization or in cases associated with other affections of the posterior pole. The result of the investigation, manifested as a hyperdense image at the level of optic disc, is relevant for the establishment of diagnosis.
