Methods: This was a cross-sectional comparative study comparing primary angle closure glaucoma (PACG) patients (Group A) with primary angle closure and primary angle closure suspect (Group B). Group A was treated with topical pressure-lowering drugs; Group B was not.
Optic atrophy has often been reported in children with biotinidase deficiency. The visual prognosis is usually poor. This report is of a 6-year-old boy with an early onset of biotinidase deficiency who presented with acute profound visual loss in both eyes.

Methods: One-to-one interview by trained interviewers was conducted on glaucoma patients seen in the eye clinic of Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia, using a modified validated Bahasa Malaysia version of VF-14 questionnaire. The severity of glaucoma was determined based on the better-eye Advanced Glaucoma Intervention Study Scale (AGIS) score of visual field analysis on the latest most reliable visual field.
Aims: The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of timolol gel-forming solution as a monotherapy and to compare the efficacy of timolol gel-forming solution morning instillation versus at night application in Asians with newly diagnosed open-angle glaucoma.
Methods: A retrospective, comparative, parallel group study was conducted on 78 eligible patients diagnosed with open-angle glaucoma who received topical timolol gel-forming solution either on morning (AM dosing group; 39 patients) or evening (PM dosing group; 39 patients) as monotherapy treatment. Intraocular pressure was taken at baseline, 1, 3, 6, and 12 months post-treatment.
