In industrial measurement, temperature field measurement typically relies on thermocouples and spectroscopic techniques. These traditional methods often suffer from insufficient precision, resulting in prevalent low-resolution measurements in real thermal scenarios. To address this challenge, we propose a novel general super-resolution approach for temperature field measurement in various thermal scenarios, leveraging the low-resolution (LR) data obtained from sensor array technology.

Article Synopsis
  • This study addresses the delivery challenges of oligonucleotide-based therapies by introducing a new type of delivery vehicle made from poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) bottlebrush polymers with specifically designed backbones.
  • The researchers utilized solid-phase synthesis to create these polymer-oligonucleotide conjugates, incorporating modifications like carbon 18 (C) units to enhance cell-material interactions.
  • Findings indicate that optimizing the arrangement of the C modifier can significantly improve cellular uptake, pharmacokinetics, biodistribution, and effectiveness of the treatment, suggesting that modifying the polymer backbone can tailor the delivery systems for different diseases.

Machine learning-based demodulation of multi-peak fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors has been extensively studied, demonstrating superior performance compared to conventional algorithms because it can neglect potential physical constraints. As the number of real-world monitoring points increases, the volume of fiber-optic sensing data grows exponentially. This necessitates aggregating data from various regions (e.

We present an ultrathin microbubble Fabry-Perot interferometer (FPI) sensor designed for low-pressure and low-temperature sensing applications. The preparation of the ultrathin microbubbles was achieved through an improved arc discharge technique. Consequently, a pressure sensitivity of 63 pm/kPa and a temperature sensitivity of 220 pm/°C at room temperature (20°C) and low air pressure (110-200 kPa) were attained, a performance that is highly commendable for a sensor of its kind.

The development of thermoelectric devices provides an ideal solution for self-sustaining Internet of Things (IoT) applications. However, existing thermoelectric devices face issues such as low integration levels and poor stability. To address these challenges, this paper presents a novel method for fabricating flexible thermoelectric devices using AgSe/MgAgSb, which combines MEMS lithographic lift-off techniques to achieve precise control over the dimensions of the thermoelectric functional layer while also reducing fabrication costs.

Reliable, non-invasive, continuous monitoring of pulse and blood pressure is essential for the prevention and diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases. However, the pulse wave varies drastically among individuals or even over time in the same individual, presenting significant challenges for the existing pulse sensing systems. Inspired by pulse diagnosis methods in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), this work reports a self-adaptive pressure sensing platform (PSP) that combines the fully printed flexible pressure sensor array with an adaptive wristband-style pressure system can identify the optimal pulse signal.

Large lakes play an important role in water resource supply, regional climate regulation, and ecosystem support, but they face threats from frequent extreme drought events, necessitating an understanding of the mechanisms behind these events. In this study, we developed an explainable machine learning (ML) model that combines the Bayesian optimized (BO) long short-term memory (LSTM) model and the integrated gradients (IG) interpretation method to simulate and explain lake water level variations. In addition, the hydrological drought trends and extreme drought events in Poyang Lake from 1960 to 2022 were identified using the standardized water level index (SWI) and run theory.

F-P (Fabry-Perot) pressure sensors have a wide range of potential applications in high-temperature, high-pressure, and high-dynamic environments. However, existing demodulation methods commonly rely on spectrometers, which limits their application to high-frequency pressure signal acquisition. To solve this problem, this study developed a self-compensated, three-wavelength demodulation system composite with an F-P pressure sensor and a thermocouple to construct a comprehensive sensing system.

Pressure sensors prepared from sapphire exhibit excellent characteristics, including high-temperature resistance, high hardness, and resistance to electromagnetic interference. A Fast Fourier Transform and Mean Square Error (FFT-MSE) demodulation algorithm was employed to demodulate a sapphire sandwich-structure Fabry-Perot (F-P) pressure sensor. Through simulation analysis, the experimental results indicated that the demodulation error of the air cavity length in the range of 206 μm to 216 μm was less than 0.

Classifying individuals with neurological disorders and healthy subjects using EEG is a crucial area of research. The current feature extraction approach focuses on the frequency domain features in each of the EEG frequency bands and functional brain networks. In recent years, researchers have discovered and extensively studied stability differences in the electroencephalograms (EEG) of patients with neurological disorders.

With the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), creating devices to digitalize aspects of pulse diagnosis has proved to be challenging. The currently available pulse detection devices usually rely on external pressure devices, which are either bulky or poorly integrated, hindering their practical application. In this work, we propose an innovative wearable active pressure three-channel pulse monitoring device based on TCM pulse diagnosis methods.

Human multidrug resistance protein 5 (hMRP5) effluxes anticancer and antivirus drugs, driving multidrug resistance. To uncover the mechanism of hMRP5, we determine six distinct cryo-EM structures, revealing an autoinhibitory N-terminal peptide that must dissociate to permit subsequent substrate recruitment. Guided by these molecular insights, we design an inhibitory peptide that could block substrate entry into the transport pathway.

The spatial patterns of pollutants produced by industrial parks are affected by many factors, but the interactions among polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), metals, and soil microorganisms in the valley landforms of the Tibetan Plateau are poorly understood. Thus, this study systematically investigated the distribution and pollution of metals and PAHs in soil around an industrial park in the typical valley landform of the Tibetan Plateau and analyzed and clarified the interaction among metals, PAHs, and microorganisms. The results were as follows: metal and PAH concentrations were affected by wind direction, especially WN-ES and S-N winds; Cd (2.

As dienes contain two C[double bond, length as m-dash]C bonds, theoretically, they are much more chemically reactive with hydroxyl radical (˙OH) than alkenes and alkanes, and the reaction with ˙OH is one of the main atmospheric degradation routes of dienes during the daytime. In our work, rate coefficients of three types of acyclic dienes: conjugated as 3-methyl-1,3-pentadiene (3M13PD), isolated as 1,4-hexadiene (14HD), and cumulated as 1,2-pentadiene (12PD) reaction with ˙OH were measured in the temperature range of 273-318 K and 1 atm using the relative rate method. At 298 ± 3 K, the rate coefficients for those reactions were determined to be = (15.
