Royal jelly (RJ) is recognized as healthy food, with a high content of proteins. These proteins play important roles in honeybee caste and human health, but the proteomic analysis of low-abundance proteins in RJ has long been a challenge. Herein, we used the Osborne classification method to separate the RJ proteins of Xinjiang black bees into various fractions.

Some mutations of prion-like domain (PrLD) have been detected in patients with sporadic ALS, suggesting the importance of TAF15-PrLD in ALS pathogenesis. Herein, combining experiments and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, we investigated the influences of several TAF15-PrLD mutations on the amyloid fibril formation of TAF15-PrLD-extracted peptide segments, and identified an essential β-amyloid-forming segment from TAF15-PrLD.

This study integrated a national sampling campaign, a literature survey, and model predictions to investigate the trend in Hg content of fly ash and associated output nationwide. The results demonstrated that Hg content of fly ash from both our campaign conducted in 2020 and the literature survey met the Weibull distribution.
