We performed a direct puncture of the lesion through the patient's scalp for liquid embolic agent injection along with external compression of the superficial temporal artery to perform a "manual pressure-cooker technique." The combination of these minimally invasive techniques resulted in an excellent clinical and radiographic outcome.

Objective: This study aims to assess the levels of anxiety in HCPs working in the province of Quebec (Canada) during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and identify factors associated with changes in anxiety scores.
Patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit (ICU) are often unable to report their pain, which is a problem since untreated pain is associated with negative health outcomes. The use of behavioral pain scales are recommended for the detection of the presence of pain in this vulnerable population. Previous validation studies have used classical techniques, and several psychometrics properties remain unknown.

In the first application the LC-ESI-MS/MS method was used to identify thiodiglycol and nine longer chain diols in soil samples taken at different locations and depths from a former mustard storage site as part of an ongoing environmental assessment. Aqueous extracts of the soil samples were analysed by LC-ESI-MS/MS using a quadrupole/time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometer operating with a resolution of 9000.

A packed capillary liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-MS) method was developed for the identification of chemical warfare agents, their degradation products and related compounds in synthetic tabun samples and in soil samples collected from a former mustard storage site. A number of organophosphorus and organosulfur compounds that had not been previously characterized were identified, based on acquired high-resolution ESI-MS data. At lower sampling cone voltages, the ESI mass spectra were dominated by protonated, sodiated and protonated acetonitrile adducts and/or their dimers that could be used to confirm the molecular mass of each compound.

Methods: Over a 6-year period, 304 women on tamoxifen as adjuvant therapy for breast cancer were recruited into the current study. Standard demographic data as well as duration of tamoxifen use were collected.
Packed capillary liquid chromatography-electrospray mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-MS) was used for the analysis of a snow sample that was accidentally contaminated with an organophosphorus chemical warfare agent during the destruction of a chemical munition. Sarin, its hydrolysis products and a number of related compounds were identified on the basis of acquired LC-ESI-MS data. Full mass spectra were acquired for 14 compounds, with all exhibiting MH+, [MH+ACN]+ ions and/or protonated dimers that could be used to confirm molecular mass.
