Article Synopsis
  • Ecological psychology examines how organisms interact with their environments, providing insights into children's behaviors and perceptions.
  • This study focuses on two key concepts: affordance, which looks at how children perceive the usefulness of their surroundings, and behavior setting, which studies the relationship between children's behaviors and environmental features.
  • Existing research often misses the importance of children's immediate actions and the dynamic nature of their environments, so this study suggests a new framework to better understand these interactions, especially in childcare settings.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a group of chronic liver disease which ranges from simple steatosis (NAFL) to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and is characterized by lipid accumulation, inflammation activation, fibrosis, and cell death. To date, a number of preclinical studies or clinical trials associated with therapies targeting fatty acid metabolism, inflammatory factors and liver fibrosis are performed to develop effective drugs for NAFLD/NASH. However, few therapies are cell death signaling-targeted even though the various cell death modes are present throughout the progression of NAFLD/NASH.
