Tumor acidity-driven nanomotors may offer robust propulsion for tumor-specific penetrating drug delivery. Herein, an acidity-actuated poly(amino acid) calcium phosphate (CaP) hybrid nanomotor (PCaPmotor) was designed, using a mPEG-PAsp-PPhe@THZ531 micelle (Poly@THZ) for CaP mineralization accompanied by αPD-L1 antibody encapsulation. Dissolution of the CaP layer in an acidic tumor environment gave off heat energy to propel the nanomotor to augment the cellular uptake and penetration into deeply seated cancer cells while facilitating αPD-L1 release.

This study introduced a novel strategy that combined the enhancement of apoptosis, ferroptosis, and DNA damage to improve therapeutic outcomes for prostate cancer. Specifically, we have developed a supramolecular oxidative stress nanoamplifier, which was comprised of β-cyclodextrin, paclitaxel, and ferrocene-poly(ethylene glycol).

This study focuses primarily on the utilization of per-6-thio-β-cyclodextrin (CD) to link a significant quantity of paclitaxel (PTX) via ROS-sensitive thioketal (TK) linkages (designated as CDTP), thereby allowing efficiently drug release when exposed to high levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the tumor microenvironment. To construct these supramolecular nanoparticles (NPs) with CDTP, we introduced PEGylated ferrocene (Fc) through host-guest interactions.

The overexpression of P-glycoprotein (P-gp) is one of the main mechanisms behind MDR. Here, this work reports a multimodal nanoplatform with a reactive oxygen species (ROS) cascade for gas therapy/ferroptosis/chemotherapy in reversing MDR.

Nucleic acid-based drugs have therapeutic potential, although their poor stability and low delivery efficiency have hindered their widespread use. Herein, it is confirmed that miR-223 can polarize proinflammation M1 macrophages to anti-inflammation M2 macrophages.

Their unique internal cavity has widened the application of CyDs in drug delivery based on its advantages. Besides this, the polyhydroxy structure has further extended the functions of CyDs by inter- and intramolecular interactions and chemical modification.

The systemic toxicity of chemotherapy agents is also a problem that cannot be ignored. It is expected that smart nano-drug delivery systems that are able to respond to tumor microenvironments will provide better therapeutic outcomes with decreased side effects of chemotherapeutics.

However, water-insoluble sonosensitizer delivery strategies have continuously underperformed because of unavoidable toxicity and a short circulation time. In this study, l-cystine derivative-based biocompatible nanoparticles (NPs) that can be used in SDT and induce limited cytotoxicity are designed and synthesized.

In this study, we proposed an applicable strategy to increase the reactive oxygen species (ROS) and inhibit glutathione (GSH), in an effort to amplify oxidative damage in prostate cancer cells. Specifically, we developed dual-responsive supramolecular self-assembled nanoparticles (NPs) based on polymerized methacrylic acid (MA) and polymerized poly(ethylene glycol) dimethyl acrylate-modified β-cyclodextrin (CD) with ferrocene (Fc)-connected (S) (+)-camptothecin (CPT) (designated as MA-CD/Fc-CPT NPs).

XRD results show that β-CDs are in an amorphous state in fiber, and β-CD can help maintain the fibrous crystal that exists in the composite fiber. The DSC results show that the total crystalline ratio of the composite fibers decreased with the increase of β-CD.

Synergistic chemotherapy has become prominent with the stimulus-response drug delivery system (DDS) to treat solid malignancies. The most popularly employed responsive stimulus is reactive oxygen species (ROS), which is proven to primarily sensitize chemotherapy and enhance antitumor impact.

The development of a simple, inexpensive, and environmentally friendly fluorescence sensing system remains a huge challenge. In this study, we designed and synthesized a TPE@γ-CD-MOF-K complex using the facile in situ encapsulation method.

This study developed a novel FR fiber by wet-spinning poly (vinyl alcohol)/β-cyclodextrin (PVA/βCD) composite fiber and crosslinking it with hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI). βCDs showed good compatibility with PVA matrix, and the resulting PVA/CD/HDI fibers showed mechanical strength at the same level as natural cotton fiber.

The adsorption of CO by conventional liquid alkanolamine adsorbents does not meet the requirements for green-friendly development in industrial applications. In this work, we constructed NH-β-CD-MOF for the first time through the amino-functionalization of the lowest-priced, readily available, and biocompatible β-CD. Subsequently, the samples were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, elemental analysis, and N adsorption/desorption.

Thus, there is a need for the development of air filters with satisfactory overall performance. In this paper, we develop a kind of β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) based air filter with high strength, which has not only high filtration efficiency (about 99%) but also good air permeability (the pressure drop is only 45Pa).
