Analysing predictors of surgical site infections in patients undergoing emergency surgery for traumatic pulmonary haemorrhage.

Identifying predictors for surgical site infections (SSIs) after emergency surgical treatment for traumatic pulmonary haemorrhage (TPH) is crucial for improving patient outcomes. This study aims to ascertain these predictors. In this comprehensive retrospective study, conducted from January 2020 to December 2023 at our institution, 75 patients were analysed, including a case group of 25 patients with SSIs and a control group of 50 without SSIs post-TPH surgery.

Impact of exercise interventions on quality of life and depression in lung cancer patients: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Introduction: Lung cancer is a leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide. Depression is also a common concern for lung cancer patients and is of concern because it negatively impacts overall well-being. This study summarizes the existing literature on the impact of exercise interventions on quality of life and depression in patients diagnosed with lung cancer.

Syntheses and biological evaluation of 1,2,3-triazole and 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives of imatinib.

Three novel series of 1,2,3-triazole and 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives of imatinib were prepared and evaluated in vitro for their cytostatic effects against a human chronic myeloid leukemia (K562), acute myeloid leukemia (HL60), and human leukemia stem-like cell line (KG1a). The structure-activity relationship was analyzed by determining the inhibitory rate of each imatinib analog. Benzene and piperazine rings were necessary groups in these compounds for maintaining inhibitory activities against the K562 and HL60 cell lines.
