Pre-existing of pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) poses increased lung cancer risk, yet the molecular mechanisms remain inadequately understood. This study sought to elucidate the potential mechanisms by performing comprehensive analyses of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from patients with PTB, lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), and lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC). Microarray assays were employed to analyze the DEGs in PBMCs of these patients.

Methods: AOH rat model was performed by anterior chamber perfusion and either received an intravitreal injection with β-aminopropionitrile (BAPN) or normal saline. After 2wk, Quantification of survival RGCs in the retina was performed using Retrograde FluoroGold labeling.
Excessive aggressive migration and invasion are important factors that increase the mortality of cancer patients. Matrix metalloproteinase 13 (MMP13) expression is positively correlated with lung cancer malignancy. However, the mechanism underlying an elevated MMP13 expression is not clearly defined.

Therefore, it is imperative to study the molecular epidemiology of CRAB in the ICUs using multiple molecular typing methods to lay the foundation for the development of infection prevention and control strategies. This study aimed to determine the antimicrobial susceptibility profile, the molecular epidemiology and conduct homology analysis on CRAB strains isolated from ICUs.

Background: Metformin is the most frequently prescribed medication for the treatment of type II diabetes mellitus and has played an anti-tumor potential in a variety of cancer types. Metformin can inhibit the growth of many cancer cells through various mechanisms, including ferroptosis. However, it is still unclear whether metformin can induce ferroptosis in lung cancer.

The aim of this study was to identify the molecular epidemiology of enterovirus causing HFMD/HA in Zunyi, China, during 2019, and to describe the clinical features of the cases. We collected the information on demographic and clinical characteristics, laboratory data of laboratory-confirmed EVs associated HFMD/HA cases in Zunyi Medical University Third Affiliated Hospital between March 1 and July 31, 2019.

Icariin (ICA), a prenylated flavonol glycoside derived from the traditional Chinese herb Epimedium sagittatum, exerts a variety of pharmacological activities and shows promise in the treatment and prevention of AD. This study investigated the neuroprotective effects of ICA in SAMP8 mice model of aspects of early AD and explored potential underlying mechanisms.

FJS31-2. Bioassay-guided isolation and purification by varied chromatographic methods yielded two new compounds of the zunyimycin derivatives, namely, 31-2-7 and 31-2-8, accompanied with three known anthrabenzoxocinones family members of zunyimycin A, BE24566B, and chloroanthrabenzoxocinone.
