- An ultrasensitive electrochemical sensor using a combination of Zr-MOF-SH, reduced graphene oxide aerogel (rGA), and nanoporous gold (NPG) was developed for detecting mercury ions rapidly.
- The sensor demonstrated excellent performance with a detection range of 0 to 200 nM and a low limit of detection at 1.4 nM due to the strong adsorption properties of Zr-MOF-SH and the enhanced electroactivity from rGA.
- When tested on real rice samples, the sensor showed impressive recovery rates between 98.8% and 108.3%, indicating its practical application for monitoring mercury contamination.
