Peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation renders a promising way for in-situ regeneration of carbon-based adsorbents towards sustainable water decontamination, but the effects of structure and composition of carbon adsorbent on its adsorption and catalytic regeneration performances remains unclear. Herein, the nitrogen-doped carbon aerogels (NCAs) were prepared to couple adsorption and PMS activation in a continuous fixed-bed reactor for effective bisphenol A (BPA) removal. The nitrogen species and carbon structure of NCAs were varied by changing carbonization temperature (700 °C, 800 °C, 900 °C and 1000 °C) to investigate their correlation with the adsorption and catalytic regeneration abilities of NCAs.

There is a conventional belief that prosocial behaviors cannot arise through selfish human nature, because defection always exploits cooperation to achieve a higher payoff at an individual level. Unyieldingly, some people hope to move society to cooperation through their zealous cooperation, regardless of payoffs. From the perspective of spatial evolutionary games, however, such zealous behavior is unnecessary because cooperation can emerge from selfish human nature by aggregating in evolution.

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of the cannula under laparoscopy, percutaneous puncture cannula, and conventional surgery cannula for peritoneal dialysis.

Methods: From May 3, 2015 to February 14, 2020, 87 patients with end-stage renal disease needing peritoneal dialysis in Ningbo Zhenhai People's Hospital were enrolled. These patients were divided into three groups including cannula under laparoscopy (23 cases), percutaneous puncture cannula (29 cases), and conventional surgery cannula (35 cases).

The reactions of Ni(OAc)2 2H2O with Schiff base ligands 5-bromo-2-((cyclopentylimino)methyl)phenol (HL1) and 5-bromo-2-(((2-(isopropylamino)ethyl)imino)methyl)phenol (HL2) in methanol afforded two discrete trinuclear com-plexes [Ni3(L1)2(?2-?1:?1-OAc)2(DMF)2(BrSal)2] (1) and [Ni3(L2)2(?2-?1:?1-OAc)2(?2-?2:?1-OAc)2] (2), where BrSal is the monoanionic form of 4-bromosalicylaldehyde. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The crystal structures of the complexes have been determined by X-ray crystallography.

In this work, we report a simple strategy to improve the detection sensitivity as well as the spectral quality of probe molecules on surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrates. On normal SERS substrates, due to the decreased absorption capacity and changes in the molecule orientations, SERS signals disappear when the analyte molecule concentrations reach a limit value. To solve this problem, the molecular template reagent (MTR) technique, a simple strategy based on SERS surface selection rules, is considered.

Typically, the surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) technique is employed in precious metallic substrates with spontaneously adsorbed probing molecules to acquire signals. Preferred chemical conditions including aggregate status, hydrophilic/hydrophobic surroundings, and smart linkers were created to enable the detection of targets in very low concentrations (lower than 1.0 × 10 M).

4-Mercaptophenylboronic Acid (4-MPBA) plays pivotal role in various fields. The orientation and existing form of the 4-MPBA strongly depend on the pH value of the media. The general aim of this work is to obtain information about the structure changes of 4-MPBA absorbed on Ag nanoparticles in different pH environment.

Different shapes of gold nanoparticles (NPs) have different enhancement effect in Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS). The polyhedral Au NPs have multiple angular structures, which show stronger enhancement effect than Au nanoplatelets. In recent years, the research on synthesis and properties of polyhedral Au NPs has attracted much attention.
