To assess the effects of seizures on the progression of AD, chronic temporal lobe epilepsy was induced in five familial AD mutation (5×FAD) mice by kindling with the chemoconvulsant pentylenetetrazole (PTZ) at 3-3.5 months of age.

The unique structural attributes of the mitochondrial genome provide profound insights and compelling evidence, underpinning the morphological classification of organisms and substantially advancing our understanding of the phylogenetic relationships within Chironomidae.
Results: We have meticulously sequenced, assembled, and annotated the mitogenomes of (Wang, 1994) and (Kieffer, 1912), incorporating an additional 25 previously published mitogenomes into our comprehensive analysis.

Background: Sepsis, a systemic inflammatory condition, is a leading cause of mortality due to cardiovascular injury. Sepsis and cellular senescence are closely related, yet the specific mechanisms are still unclear. This study aims to identify a novel therapeutic target for mitigating sepsis-induced myocardial injury.

The phylogenetic relationship of the generic complex remains contentious due to the paucity of taxonomic and molecular data. Specifically, the evolutionary relationships among , , and Harnischia are still unclear.

The fusion of biomedical imaging and multi-modal information is profound, as it significantly enhances diagnostic precision and comprehensiveness. Integrating multi-organ imaging with genomic information can significantly enhance the accuracy of disease prediction because many diseases involve both environmental and genetic determinants.

The emerging Mamba has shown superiority in learning visual representation, which combines the advantages of linear scalability and global sensitivity. In this study, we introduce MambaMIR, an Arbitrary-Masked Mamba-based model with wavelet decomposition for joint medical image reconstruction and uncertainty estimation.

Dual-attribute immune cells possess advantageous features of cytotoxic T cells and natural killer (NK) cells and hold promise for advancing immunotherapy. Dual-attribute cell types such as invariant natural killer T cells, induced T-to-NK cells, and cytokine-induced killer cells have demonstrated efficacy and safety in preclinical and clinical studies. However, their limited availability hinders their widespread application.

Industrial wastewater containing high levels of fluoride and phosphate poses significant environmental challenges and results in the waste of non-renewable resources. This study investigates the use of La(OH) as a precipitating agent to selectively remove and separate fluoride from phosphate in such wastewater. The findings indicate that fluoride removal efficiency is highly dependent on the pH level and La(OH) dosage.

Laser-induced cavitation bubble is an important phenomenon in laser induced plasma ignition technology. Limited by the difficulties in experimental measurements, numerical simulations have become an important tool in the study of laser-induced cavitation bubble, but most previous numerical models used to study the dynamics of laser-induced cavitation bubble usually ignore the effect of chemical reactions.

However, a significant drawback of CMR is its slow imaging speed, resulting in low patient throughput and compromised clinical diagnostic quality. The limited temporal resolution also causes patient discomfort and introduces artifacts in the images, further diminishing their overall quality and diagnostic value.

In this study, we gathered data of the water quality at the hydraulic junction of a dual-source water supply system (plant A and plant B, sampling site A was near plant A, and sampling site A was near plant B) for one year in Suzhou Industrial Park. Our findings indicated that seasonal variations and water temperature exerted significant influence on the composition and formation of disinfection byproducts (DBPs).

Methods: The study retrospectively analyzed 238 patients who underwent HCC resection surgery between January 2013 and April 2023. Six machine learning algorithms were employed to construct predictive models for HCC PG: logistic regression, extreme gradient boosting, Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LightGBM), random forest, adaptive boosting, and Gaussian naive Bayes.
Non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a major cause of worldwide cancer death, posing a challenge for effective treatment. Our previous findings showed that Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) QiDongNing (QDN) could upregulate the expression of p53 and trigger cell apoptosis in NSCLC. Here, our objective was to investigate the mechanisms of QDN-induced apoptosis enhancement.

Research on Chironomidae in the Tibetan Plateau is relatively weak. At present, the identification of Chironomidae species mainly depends on male adults, while identification of larvae and pupae is relatively difficult and there is less research on them.

Recent concerns have emerged regarding the improper disposal of spent lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), which has garnered widespread societal attention. Graphite materials accounted for 12-21 wt % of LIBs' mass, typically contain heavy metals, binders, and residual electrolytes. Regenerating spent graphite not only alleviated the shortage of plumbago, but also contributed to the supports environmental protection as well as national carbon peak and neutrality ("dual carbon" goals).
