This study aimed to investigate the effects of adding LK01 to the diet on the growth performance, antioxidant capacity, immunity, intestinal health, and serum biochemical indicators of broilers. This study selected 1080 one-day-old broiler chickens with similar body weight, and randomly divided them into six groups, with six replicates in each group and 30 chicks in each replicate. The chicks were fed (1) the basal diet (CON), (2) the basal diet with 10 CFU/kg LK01(T1), (3) the basal diet with 10 CFU/kg LK01(T2), (4) the basal diet with 10 CFU/kg LK01(T3), (5) the basal diet with 10 CFU/kg LK01(T4), and (6) the basal diet with 10 CFU/kg LK01(T5).

Our previous findings show that invariant natural killer T (iNKT)cells can promote immunogenic maturation of lung dendritic cells (LDCs) to enhance Th2 cell responses in asthma. It has been accepted that recognition of glycolipid antigens presented by CD1d molecules by the T cell receptors of iNKT cells leads to iNKT cell activation. Therefore, we examine the immunoregulatory influences of anti-CD1d treatment on Th2 cell response and immunogenic maturation of LDCs and subsequently explored whether these influences were dependent on lung iNKT cells in asthmatic mice.

Rescue chemotherapy is usually the preferred treatment for patients with advanced estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast cancer with endocrinotherapy resistance. However, these patients often simultaneously show a poor response to cytotoxic drugs, and thus the detailed mechanism of this resistance needs to be further investigated. Our previous research indicated that the G-protein-coupled estrogen receptor (GPER) is a novel mediator of the development of multidrug resistance, including resistance to both endocrinotherapy and chemotherapy, and ATP binding cassette subfamily G member 2 (ABCG2) has been identified as an engine that confers cancer cells with chemoresistance by expelling xenobiotics and chemotherapeutics.

Objective: To investigate the relationship between polymorphisms of insulin-receptor (INSR) gene and insulin resistance in a population-based study in China.

Methods: Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) was used to the amplify Exon 17 of INSR gene and all amplified products were analyzed by direct sequencing.

Results: Six single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were found at the following loci: T to TC at the locus of 10699 (Tyr(984)), G to GC at the locus of 10731 (Glu(994)), Deletion G at the locus of 10798 (Asp(1017)), C to T/TC at the locus of 10923 (His(1058)), C to CA at the locus of 10954 (Leu(1069)), and T to TA at the locus of 10961 (Phe(1071)), which might not change the amino acid sequence.
