With the aim of addressing the global warming issue and fossil energy shortage, eco-friendly and sustainable renewable energy technologies are urgently needed. In comparison to energy conversion, studies on energy storage fall behind and remain largely to be explored. By storing energy from electrochemical processes at the electrode surface, supercapacitors (SCs) bridge the performance gap between electrostatic double-layer capacitors and batteries.

With increasing the oligofluorene arm length, absorption spectra were red-shifted progressively, whereas an increase in photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs) and optical gain coefficients, and a corresponding reduction in amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) thresholds and loss coefficients were observed for Tr1-Tr3 except for Tr4. The results indicate that the effective conjugation length become saturated for Tr3 in this system.

The increasing interest in starburst systems is evidenced by progressively more frequent investigation on the use of these materials in optoelectronics. The ability to modify chemical structures through control over the core and arms on a molecular level can directly affect the electronic and electroluminescent characteristics of the resulting materials.

The unique device architectures can simultaneously combine the electrical switching functionality of organic field-effect transistors and the light generation capability of organic light-emitting diodes in a single device, thereby holding great promise for reducing the complicated processes of next-generation pixel circuitry. This review involves the design, fabrication, and applications of OLETs with a comprehensive coverage of this field with the aim to give a deep insight into the intrinsic mechanisms of devices.

Manufacturing small-molecule organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) via inkjet printing is rather attractive for realizing high-efficiency and long-life-span devices, yet it is challenging. In this paper, we present our efforts on systematical investigation and optimization of the ink properties and the printing process to enable facile inkjet printing of conjugated light-emitting small molecules. Various factors on influencing the inkjet-printed film quality during the droplet generation, the ink spreading on the substrates, and its solidification processes have been systematically investigated and optimized.

Their thermal and electrochemical properties, fluorescence transients, photoluminescence quantum yields, density functional theory calculations, electroluminescence (EL) and amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) properties have been systematically investigated to unravel the molecular design on optoelectronic properties. The resulting materials showed excellent structural perfection, free of chemical defects, and exhibited great thermal stability (T : 404-418 °C and T : 147-184 °C) and amorphous glassy morphologies.

The synthesis involved a microwave-assisted six-fold Suzuki coupling reaction, followed by oxidative cyclodehydrogenation. Multiple dehydrocyclization products could be effectively isolated in a single reaction, thus suggesting that the oxidative cyclodehydrogenation reaction involved a stepwise ring-closing process.

Children are the vulnerable group for soil-transmitted helminth (STH) infections. Being infected with STHs for long term would affect the children' s nutritious status, health development and cognitive ability. This paper reviews the prevalence and influencing factors of the infections of STHs (Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichuria and hookworm) for children at home and abroad, as well as the impact of STH infections on children's health, cognitive ability and school performance, and the related interventions and their effects.

The resulting CMEs with donor-acceptor star-shaped architectures exhibited distinct light-harvesting properties. The interactions between 4FTs and TrNBr, a star-shaped monodisperse CME grafted with cationic quaternary ammonium side chains, were investigated in H2O and CH3OH using steady-state, time-resolved fluorescence, dynamic light scattering (DLS), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
