Cryptotanshinone Inhibits Bladder Cancer Cell Malignant Progression in a Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Inflammatory Microenvironment through NLRP3 Inhibition.

Background: Bladder cancer (BC) is one of the most common malignancies of the urogenital system. This study assessed the nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain and leucine-rich repeat and pyrin domain-containing protein 3 (NLRP3) in BC as well as the effects of cryptotanshinone on changes in BC malignant behaviors and NLRP3 expression under a lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced inflammatory microenvironment.

Methods: BC tissue specimens from 62 patients were collected for immunohistochemical detection of NLRP3 protein.

[Expressions of NLRP1 and NLRC4 inflammasomes in prostate cancer and their clinical value].

Methods: Using immunohistochemical staining, we detected the expressions of the inflammasomes NLRP1 and NLRC4 and the inflammatory cytokines IL-18 and IL-1β in 54 cases of BPH and 58 cases of PCa treated in Pinghu First People's Hospital from January 2022 to May 2022. We analyzed the characteristics of their expressions in the two groups of patients and the correlation of NLRP1 and NLRC4 expressions with tPSA, fPSA and Gleason scores in the PCa patients.

Long noncoding RNAs play an important regulatory role in the development and progression of tumors. Our study found that LINC00478 was upregulated in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), so we made an in-depth exploration into its mechanism. In Caki-2 cells, we established the oe-LINC00478 cell line overexpressing LINC00478, and established underexpressing sh-LINC00478 cell line by short hairpin RNA silencing.

M1 macrophage-derived exosomes synergistically enhance the anti- bladder cancer effect of gemcitabine.

Gemcitabine (GEM) is one of the first choice drugs for treating bladder cancer. In this study, we loaded M1 macrophage-derived exosomes (M1-Exo) with GEM by ultrasonication technique to derive an M1-Exo-GEM drug delivery system, and then explored its effects on bladder cancer. After inducing M1 polarization of macrophages , ultracentrifugation was performed to obtain M1-Exo, followed by construction of M1-Exo-GEM via ultrasonication technique.

Here, we report a rare case of a middle-aged female patient with an aberrant right subclavian artery (ARSA) associated with anomalous origins of the bilateral vertebral arteries (VAs).
