Background: Bladder cancer (BC) is one of the most common malignancies of the urogenital system. This study assessed the nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain and leucine-rich repeat and pyrin domain-containing protein 3 (NLRP3) in BC as well as the effects of cryptotanshinone on changes in BC malignant behaviors and NLRP3 expression under a lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced inflammatory microenvironment.
Methods: BC tissue specimens from 62 patients were collected for immunohistochemical detection of NLRP3 protein.
Objective: To explore the clinical value of the inflammasomes NLRP1 and NLRC4 in the diagnosis and treatment of PCa.
Methods: Using immunohistochemical staining, we detected the expressions of the inflammasomes NLRP1 and NLRC4 and the inflammatory cytokines IL-18 and IL-1β in 54 cases of BPH and 58 cases of PCa treated in Pinghu First People's Hospital from January 2022 to May 2022. We analyzed the characteristics of their expressions in the two groups of patients and the correlation of NLRP1 and NLRC4 expressions with tPSA, fPSA and Gleason scores in the PCa patients.
Background: Prostate cancer (PC) is currently the most common malignant tumor of the genitourinary system in men. Radical prostatectomy (RP) is recommended for the treatment of patients with localized PC. Adjuvant hormonal therapy (AHT) can be administered postoperatively in patients with high-risk or locally advanced PC.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the association between acute kidney injury and the prognoses of cardiac surgery patients in the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care III (MIMIC-III) database.
Methods: Clinical data were extracted from the MIMIC-III database.

Long noncoding RNAs play an important regulatory role in the development and progression of tumors. Our study found that LINC00478 was upregulated in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), so we made an in-depth exploration into its mechanism. In Caki-2 cells, we established the oe-LINC00478 cell line overexpressing LINC00478, and established underexpressing sh-LINC00478 cell line by short hairpin RNA silencing.

In this study, we loaded M1 macrophage-derived exosomes (M1-Exo) with GEM by ultrasonication technique to derive an M1-Exo-GEM drug delivery system, and then explored its effects on bladder cancer. After inducing M1 polarization of macrophages , ultracentrifugation was performed to obtain M1-Exo, followed by construction of M1-Exo-GEM via ultrasonication technique.

Here, we report a rare case of a middle-aged female patient with an aberrant right subclavian artery (ARSA) associated with anomalous origins of the bilateral vertebral arteries (VAs).

The objective of the current study was to assess and quantify cause of death after bladder cancer diagnosis.
Methods: The custom Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) dataset for standardized mortality ratios (SMRs) was utilized to identify 24,074 patients who were diagnosed with nonmetastatic (M0) bladder cancer from 2014 to 2015.
Introduction: Various urethroplasty techniques have been used to treat urethral stricture. Whether the patient erectile function is affected by this open surgery is still controversial.
Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between erectile function and open urethroplasty.
Introduction: To investigate factors correlated with erectile dysfunction (ED) in patients with traumatic urethral strictures undergoing end-to-end anastomotic urethroplasty (AU).
Materials And Methods: Between January 2010 and January 2011, 41 patients with urethral strictures resulting from pelvic fracture urethral distraction defects underwent end-to-end AU. The abridged International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) was used to subjectively assess erectile function at admission and 2 weeks postoperatively.
Introduction: Urethral trauma is often associated with erectile dysfunction (ED). Reconstructive surgery is complex and may impact negatively on sexual function.
Aim: The aim of this article is to investigate ED in patients with pelvic fracture urethral distraction defects (PFUDD) who underwent urethroplasty, and efficacy of treatment with sildenafil citrate.
