Axionlike particles (ALPs) and dark photons (DPs) are viable dark matter particle candidates. We have searched for possible ALP/DP signals in the PandaX-4T liquid xenon detector using 440  kg·yr of data. A binned likelihood fit is constructed to search for possible mono-energetic peaks induced by the absorption processes between ALPs/DPs and atomic electrons of xenon.

New particles beyond the standard model of particle physics, such as axions, can be effectively searched through their interactions with electrons. We use the large liquid xenon detector PandaX-4T to search for novel electronic recoil signals induced by solar axions, neutrinos with anomalous magnetic moment, axionlike particles, dark photons, and light fermionic dark matter. A detailed background model is established using the latest datasets with 1.

In this Letter, we report the dark matter search results from the commissioning run (Run0) and the first science run (Run1) of the PandaX-4T experiment. The two datasets were processed with a unified procedure, with the Run1 data treated blindly. The data processing is improved compared to previous work, unifying the low-level signal reconstruction in a wide energy range up to 120 keV.

Layered P2-type sodium manganese oxide has emerged as a promising cathode candidate for sodium-ion batteries due to its appealing cost-effectiveness and high discharge voltage. However, its practical capacity within the voltage range of 2.0-4.

Low-cost sodium-ion batteries have demonstrated great prospects in energy storage, among which layered transition metal oxides hold great potential as a cathode material. However, the notorious phase transition in layered cathode materials has greatly hampered their cycle life due to large volume changes upon desodiation/sodiation. In this study, by adopting an O3-type NaNiFeMnO (NFM) with controlled synthesis temperatures, we have revealed that the grain size is closely related to its phase transition behaviors.

Background: The randomized, open-label, phase III LYNK-003 study assessed the efficacy of first-line maintenance olaparib, alone or in combination with bevacizumab, versus bevacizumab plus a fluoropyrimidine in participants with unresectable or metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). We present results of the prespecified interim futility analysis.

Methods: Eligible participants were ≥18 years of age with unresectable or mCRC that had not progressed after induction with first-line bevacizumab plus 5-fluorouracil plus oxaliplatin plus leucovorin (FOLFOX) or capecitabine plus oxaliplatin (CAPOX).

  • - The KEYNOTE-651 study assessed the combination of pembrolizumab and binimetinib, with or without chemotherapy, in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer that was microsatellite stable/mismatch repair-proficient.
  • - Cohorts showed varying levels of dose-limiting toxicities (DLTs), with the most significant occurring in cohort C at 33%, leading to a halt in dose escalation for that group and a dose reduction in cohort E.
  • - Overall, the study found binimetinib combined with pembrolizumab was tolerable in cohort A, but the objective response rates were low across all cohorts, with no significant additional benefit from adding binimetinib to pembrolizumab.

Article Synopsis
  • This study presents findings from the PandaX-4T experiment, focusing on detecting interactions between dark matter and nucleons through a dark mediator.
  • By analyzing low-energy ionization signal data and applying the Migdal effect, the researchers establish the most stringent limits on the cross section for dark matter masses between 30 MeV/c² and 2 GeV/c².
  • The research also challenges a model where a dark photon decays into scalar dark matter pairs, significantly limiting the possible parameters for this thermal relic dark matter scenario.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to cluster patients with chronic complications of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) by cluster analysis in Dalian, China, and examine the variance in risk of different chronic complications and metabolic levels among the various subclusters.

Methods: 2267 hospitalized patients were included in the K-means cluster analysis based on 11 variables [Body Mass Index (BMI), Systolic Blood Pressure (SBP), Diastolic Blood Pressure (DBP), Glucose, Triglycerides (TG), Total Cholesterol (TC), Uric Acid (UA), microalbuminuria (mAlb), Insulin, Insulin Sensitivity Index (ISI) and Homa Insulin-Resistance (Homa-IR)]. The risk of various chronic complications of T2DM in different subclusters was analyzed by multivariate logistic regression, and the Kruskal-Wallis H test and the Nemenyi test examined the differences in metabolites among different subclusters.
