Background: The landscape of co-occurring birth defects among infants with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) remains underexplored.
Aims: This study aims to elucidate the complex patterns of co-occurring defects in Chinese population.
Materials And Methods: We analyzed cases from the Chinese Birth Defects Monitoring Network (2007-2019) with CDH that presented along with at least one additional defect but without a syndromic diagnosis.

This study investigated the impact of nursing interventions based on the Integrated Theory of Health Behavior Change on hemodialysis patients. A retrospective analysis of 713 hemodialysis patients' electronic medical records from June 2020 to November 2023 was conducted. Patients were divided into an experimental group, receiving nursing interventions based on the theory, and a control group, receiving regular nursing care.

Textbook Outcomes in Liver Surgery (TOLS) are a new composite parameter for evaluating the short-term outcomes of surgery; however, their association with overall survival (OS) is unknown. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the association between TOLS and OS in pCCA patients following major hepatectomy.

We report the nuclear localization of the TMEM199 protein and further analyzed the truncated fractions that mediate its nuclear localization. Cut&Tag assay globally explores the nuclear-located TMEM199 functions and tests its influence on the immune checkpoint PD-L1 and .

Extracorporeal liver surgery (ELS), also known as liver autotransplantation, is a hybrid (cross-fertilized) surgery incorporating the technical knowledge from extreme liver and transplant liver surgeries, and recently became more embraced and popularized among leading centers. ELS could be summarized into three major categories, namely, ex-situ liver resection and autotransplantation (ELRA), ante-situm liver resection and autotransplantation (ALRA) and auxiliary partial liver autotransplantation (APLA). The successful development of ELS during the past 37 years is definitely inseparable from continuous efforts done by Chinese surgeons and researchers.

Nonetheless, great challenges still remain in recombination and slow migration rate of charge carriers. For response, a novel Three-in-One strategy based on MXene/ZnS/FeO (MZF) was developed to enhance the piezoelectric photocatalytic activity via achieving a triple effect: Dual Schottky heterojunction, Interface electric field, and Oxygen vacancy.

There is still an unmet demand for effective and safe therapies to address this condition. Herein, a rat model of nerve injury-induced neuropathic pain is first established to explore its pathophysiological characteristics.

Purpose: Our study aimed to investigate the impacts of duraplasty and laminectomy on edema progression, perfusion and functional outcomes after severe balloon compression SCI.
Study Design: In vivo animal study.
The global rise of multidrug-resistant pathogens, particularly Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), has become a critical public health concern, necessitating the urgent discovery of new antimicrobial agents. Griseorhodin C, a hydroxyquinone compound isolated from Streptomyces, has demonstrated significant inhibitory effects against MRSA. In this study, we employed a comprehensive approach combining transcriptome and metabolome analyses to investigate the underlying antimicrobial mechanism of Griseorhodin C.

This study aimed to assess the feasibility of quantifying the color rendition performance of white light sources using display simulation. We examined the visual consistency through two psychophysical experiments conducted with the assistance of spectral imaging and color management.

In this paper, we propose to reduce the image artifacts by improving the intensity distribution uniformity of the layer images. To achieve this, a global optimization algorithm based on gradient descent (GD) is proposed.

The aim of this study was to analyze the long- and short-term outcomes of patients with more advanced T-staged GBC treated with curative intent as defined by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) after laparoscopic resection (LR) versus open resection (OR).
Methods: A multicenter database was used to select consecutive GBC patients treated with curative-intent resection as defined by the NCCN between 2016 and 2020.
Background: Birth defects constitute a significant public health issue worldwide, yet there is a lack of comprehensive population-based data for the Chinese population.
Methods: We analyzed data from the China National Population-based Birth Defects Surveillance System from 2007 to 2021, we calculated the prevalence rates of selected birth defects, stratified by maternal residence, geographic region, maternal age, and infant sex. The Joinpoint regression model was utilized to assess trends and annual percent changes in prevalence.
Acute lung injury (ALI) is a severe pulmonary condition with high mortality and morbidity, lacking effective pharmacotherapeutic options. Tratt, a unique fruit from southwestern China, is valued for its rich nutritional content and functional properties. Fermentation is known to enhance the nutritional value, flavor, and shelf life of foods.
