We report a broadband metal-dielectric dispersive mirror (MDDM) based on Al/SiO/HfO thin films operating in the near-ultraviolet (UV) region. Demonstrating the combined benefits of both the wide reflective bandwidth of aluminum in the UV region and the flexible dispersion control capability of HfO/SiO multilayer films, the MDDM has a wide bandwidth, low total thickness, and precise dispersion compensation ability. We propose an initial design based on a shortwave reflection enhancement structure (SWRES) to prevent shortwave light from obtaining a second time-dispersion compensation in the deep metal layer.

In this paper, we propose to reduce the image artifacts by improving the intensity distribution uniformity of the layer images. To achieve this, a global optimization algorithm based on gradient descent (GD) is proposed.

However, SIM tends to produce artifacts in reconstruction, especially when the raw SIM inputs are of low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) or out-of-focus, leading to erroneous signals in subsequent FRET. Current SIM quality evaluation metrics fail to utilize both SNR and out-of-focus features, making it challenging to classify unqualified raw data for FRET.

The method involves rising edge event recognition based on a wavelet transform function. Density-based clustering was then utilized to separate the real boundary from the original noisy point clouds based on continuous distribution characteristics of cloud and aerosol layer.

Nevertheless, the ranging distance or the material of the targets is limited by the detection sensitivity of optical asynchronous linear sampling. This limitation restricts the application of DCR in several highly significant scenarios.

Endoscopic retrograde appendicitis therapy (ERAT) has emerged as a promising, non-invasive treatment for acute uncomplicated appendicitis. Here, we aim to assess the safety and efficacy of ERAT for chronic fecalith appendicitis.

Objective: To investigate the treatment effect and prognosis of posterior fossa epidural hematoma in children by different surgical methods.
Methods: The clinical data of 41 children with traumatic posterior fossa epidural hematoma treated by surgery in the Department of Neurosurgery from June 2015 to October 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. Among them, 32 cases underwent minimally invasive skull trepanation and drainage and 9 cases underwent craniotomy and hematoma removal.
Chamaecyparis obtusa var. formosana is significant as a precious and endemic plant in Taiwan. The trunk, renowned for its excellent texture and color, is ideal for construction materials and furniture.

A bacterial strain designated HT6-4 was isolated from soil samples collected from the Flaming Mountain, Xinjiang, PR China. The purpose of this study was to describe a novel species and its characteristics, through genome sequencing and analysis of the relationship between the members of the genus , and explore the antiradiation, antioxidation and antibacterial capabilities of strain HT6-4. The polyphasic study confirmed the affiliation of strain HT6-4 with the genus .

However, the exact biological role of TENT5A in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has not been elucidated.
Methods: The transcription level of TENT5A and clinical correlation were analyzed using the LIRI-JP cohort, the TCGA-LIHC cohort, and clinical tissue samples of HCC patients in our laboratory.
Aim: Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) is among the most common complications during pregnancy, posing serious risks to both the patient's and offspring's health and well-being. Alterations in the maternal microbiome are closely associated with the pathogenesis of GDM, with Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) facilitating communication between microbiota and the host. However, little is known about the relationship between the microbial composition within EVs and the pathogenesis of GDM.

Introduction: This study investigates the effectiveness of government environmental audits in mitigating air pollution. Specifically, it focuses on a pilot project conducted in Lanzhou City by the former Ministry of Environmental Protection. The research employs a regression discontinuity design to empirically assess the impact of these audits on air quality.

In this retrospective nationwide population-based cohort study from the Taiwan National Health Insurance Research Database during the period 2000-2012, the matched cohorts consisted of 12,000 patients with CAS. After propensity score matching with 1:1 ratio, 2216 patients were eligible for outcome analysis in either statin or nonstatin group, with the mean follow-up duration of 4.

Despite extensive research, the exact mechanisms by which mutant p53 proteins promote the development and sustained expansion of cancer remain unclear. This review will discuss the cellular responses controlled by p53 that contribute to tumour suppression, p53 mutant lung cancer mouse models and characterisation of p53 mutant lung cancer.

The prevalence of Autonomous Vehicle (AV) technologies has offered new solutions for mitigating jaywalking risks. In this study, we propose a risk-aware deep reinforcement learning (DRL) approach for AVs to make decisions safely and efficiently in jaywalker-vehicle interactions.

Persistent pain frequently precipitates the development of anxiety disorders, yet the underlying mechanisms are not fully understood. In this study, we employed a mouse model that simulates trigeminal neuralgia and observed a marked reduction in the activity of GABAergic neurons in the lateral habenula (LHb), a critical region for modulating pain and anxiety. We utilized precise optogenetic and chemogenetic techniques to modulate these neurons, which significantly alleviated behaviors associated with pain and anxiety.
