This study aims to investigate the dietary patterns of Chinese individuals aged 35 years and older who are at high risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and to explore the correlation between these dietary patterns and the risk of CVD. A total of 28,747 high-risk participants in China PEACE in Zhejiang Province from 2014 to 2019 were included in the analysis Dietary data were obtained using the Food Frequency Questionnaire, and dietary patterns were extracted through factor analysis. Cox regression was used to examine the relationship between the dietary patterns and CVD risk in the high-risk groups.

Compounds having hexagonal tungsten oxides (HTO) topology are of intense research interests owing to their potential functional properties, such as nonlinear optical (NLO) performances. The advancement of tin-based perovskite solar cells (TPSCs) has been severely hindered by the poor controllability of perovskite crystal growth and the energy level mismatch between the perovskite and fullerene-based electron transport layer (ETL). Here, we synthesized three cis-configured pyridyl-substituted fulleropyrrolidines (PPF), specifically 2-pyridyl (PPF2), 3-pyridyl (PPF3), and 4-pyridyl (PPF4), and utilized them as precursor additives to regulate the crystallization kinetics during film formation. The spatial distance between the two pyridine groups in PPF2, PPF3, and PPF4 increases sequentially, enabling PPF4 to interact with more perovskite colloidal particles.

Primary sludge can serve as an internal carbon source for denitrification in wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). This study explores the use of alkaline treatment to produce a fermentation broth from primary sludge, which predominantly contains short-chain volatile fatty acids (VFAs), with acetic acid and propionic acid making up over 65% of the total VFAs. The performance of this fermentation broth as a sole carbon source for denitrification was compared with that of sodium acetate, acetic acid, methanol, and ethanol in both biofilm and activated sludge systems.

Aurora-B is a kinase that regulates spindle assembly and kinetochore-microtubule (KT-MT) attachment during mitosis and meiosis. SUMOylation is involved in the oocyte meiosis regulation through promoting spindle assembly and chromosome segregation, but its substrates to support this function is still unknown. A novel method coupling solid-phase microextraction (SPME) to solid-phase dielectric barrier discharge (SPDBD) vapor generation was proposed and used for the sensitive detection of trace mercury (Hg) in seawater with atomic fluorescence spectrometry (AFS) in this work. The method proposed herein offers the unique advantages of integrating desorption and chemical vapor generation into one step, eliminating the use of elution reagents, and reducing the analysis time.
