Background: Recent years have seen the use of photodynamic technologies concerning the detection and therapy of bladder cancer (BC) due to their rapid development and well-established therapeutic impact. However, a thorough analysis and bibliometric assessment of photodynamic technologies publishing trends in BC has not been completed yet.
Methods: Retrieving bibliographies from the Web of Science Core Collection limited the publication date to December 31, 2023, from January 1, 2004.
Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the long-term efficacy of the ligation of the intersphincteric fistula tract (LIFT) procedure in treating high transsphincteric fistulas.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective study to evaluate the success rate of LIFT treatment in 82 patients with high transsphincteric fistulas involving at least 1/3 of the external sphincter. This study was carried out across 2 centers from November 2009 to February 2023.
Excessive tyrosinase expression leads to pigmented diseases in humans and browning in plants, necessitating effective tyrosinase inhibitors. This study investigated the inhibitory effect and mechanism of 7-hydroxycoumarin-3-carboxylic acid (7-HC-3-CA) on tyrosinase. Using UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, we found that 7-HC-3-CA effectively inhibited tyrosinase activity, with an IC value of 364 ± 1.

Autologous nerve transplantation has been the gold standard for repairing peripheral nerve defects, but its clinical application is limited due to insufficient donor tissue. In recent years, the application of tissue engineering methods to synthesize nerve conduits for treating peripheral nerve defect has become a current research focus.

The quantification of 3D particle field is of interest for a vast range of fields. While in-line particle holography (PH) can provide high-resolution measurements of particles, it suffers from speckle noise. Plenoptic imaging (PI) is less susceptible to speckle noises, but it involves a trade-off between spatial and angular resolution, rendering images with low resolution.

Their dysregulation has been closely associated with tumorigenesis. is upregulated in lung adenocarcinoma and is a prognostic biomarker of this cancer.

Methods: Based on data obtained from the genome-wide association study of IBD and RA, we first assessed an overall genetic association by performing the linkage disequilibrium score regression (LDSC) analysis.
Condensed tannins were isolated from the bark of Ficus altissima and fractionated into four subcomponents on a Sephadex LH-20 column with 60 %, 80 %, 100 % methanol, and 70 % acetone, separately. Their structures were characterized by MALDI-TOF MS coupled with HPLC-ESI-MS and confirmed to be polymers of B-type procyanidin glucosides, procyanidins, and prodelphinidin glucosides. The degree of polymerization (DP) of these polymers was as high as 21, and the mDPs of the four subcomponents were calculated as 2.

However, data on human exposure to OPEs is still scarce. In this study, a relatively simple and efficient method with less serum consumption for the detection of OPEs in human serum was developed and validated.

Propofol attenuates MIRI through its reactive oxygen species scavenging property at high doses, while its use at high doses causes hemodynamic instability. Salvianolic acid A (SAA) is a potent antioxidant that confers protection against MIRI.

Objective: To explore the clinical characteristics, molecular characteristics, treatment and prognosis of pediatric Philadelphia chromosome-like acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph-like ALL) with a therapeutic target.
Methods: A total of 27 patients of Ph-like ALL with targeted drug target were initially diagnosed in Children's Hospital of Soochow University from December 2017 to June 2021. The data of age, gender, white blood cell (WBC) count at initial diagnosis, genetic characteristics, molecular biological changes, chemotherapy regimen, different targeted drugs were given, and minimal residual disease (MRD) on day 19, MRD on day 46, whether hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) were retrospective analyed, and the clinical characteristics and treatment effect were summarized.
Background: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and psoriasis (Ps) are common immune-mediated diseases that exhibit clinical comorbidity, possibly due to a common genetic structure. However, the exact mechanism remains unknown.
Methods: The study population consisted of IBD and Ps genome-wide association study (GWAS) data.
Objective: Hypoxic pulmonary hypertension (HPH) is a progressive and life-threatening disease characterized by perivascular inflammation, pulmonary vascular remodeling, and occlusion. Mesenchymal stromal cell-derived exosomes (MSC-exo) have emerged as potential therapeutic agents due to their role in cell communication and the transportation of bioactive molecules. In this study, we aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of MSC-exo against HPH and elucidate the underlying molecular mechanism.

Recent research has shown that competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) regulatory networks play a critical role in the development and progression of various types of cancer, including SKCM. The objective of this study is to investigate the ceRNA regulatory network associated with the transmembrane protein semaphorin 6A (SEMA6A) and identify the underlying molecular mechanisms involved in SKCM.

We demonstrate the calibration approach based on a microscope with an ETL placed close to the rear stop of the objective lens. By introducing a target-consisted of repeating lines at one known frequency and placed at a ~45° angle to the imaging path, the calibration method captures multiple images at different ETL currents and calibrates the dependence of the axial focus shift on the ETL current by evaluating the sharpness of the captured images.

In our study, the enrolled mCRPC patients were randomized to 100, 200 and 300 mg dose groups at 1:1:1. The primary efficacy endpoint was prostate-specific antigen (PSA) response rate.

Spontaneous functional recovery (SFR) has been commonly implicated in the natural course of incomplete acute spinal cord injury (SCI), while the evidence and underlying pathomechanisms of neurovascular unit (NVU) compensation involved in SFR remains poorly understood in CSM. In this study, we investigate whether compensatory change of NVU, in particular in the adjacent level of the compressive epicenter, is involved in the natural course of SFR, using an established experimental CSM model.

Introduction: In-depth analysis of the rambling genes of atopic dermatitis may help to identify the pathologic mechanism of this disease. However, this has seldom been performed.
Aim: Using bioinformatics approaches, we analysed 3 gene expression profiles in the gene expression omnibus (GEO) database, identified the differentially expressed genes (DEGs), and found out the overlapping DEGs (common DEGs, cDEGs) in the above 3 profiles.
Acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD) is a life-threatening complication after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) and is primarily treated with steroids. However, there is no standard treatment for steroid-refractory acute graft-versus-host disease (SR-aGVHD). Although mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have proven effective for SR-aGVHD, few reports have focused on human umbilical cord blood-derived MSCs (hUCB-MSCs).
