Using the e^{+}e^{-} collision data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, at center-of-mass energies from the threshold to 4.95 GeV, we present precise measurements of the cross section for the process e^{+}e^{-}→D_{s}^{+}D_{s}^{-} using a single-tag method. The resulting cross section line shape exhibits several new structures, thereby offering an input for a future coupled-channel analysis and model tests, which are critical to understand vector charmonium-like states with masses between 4 and 5 GeV.

Z boson events at the Large Hadron Collider can be selected with high purity and are sensitive to a diverse range of QCD phenomena. As a result, these events are often used to probe the nature of the strong force, improve Monte Carlo event generators, and search for deviations from standard model predictions. All previous measurements of Z boson production characterize the event properties using a small number of observables and present the results as differential cross sections in predetermined bins.

It is a major challenge to obtain broadband microwave absorption (MA) properties using low dielectric or magnetic nanoparticle-decorated carbon composites due to the limited single conductive loss or polarization loss of the carbon materials used as substrates. Novel pure cellulose-derived graphite carbon (CGC) materials can be used as an exceptional substrate option due to their special defective graphitic carbon structure, which provides both conduction and polarization loss. RNA velocities and generalizations emerge as powerful approaches for extracting time-resolved information from high-throughput snapshot single-cell data. Yet, several inherent limitations restrict applying the approaches to genes not suitable for RNA velocity inference due to complex transcriptional dynamics, low expression, or lacking splicing dynamics, or data of non-transcriptomic modality. Here, we present GraphVelo, a graph-based machine learning procedure that uses as input the RNA velocities inferred from existing methods and infers velocity vectors lying in the tangent space of the low-dimensional manifold formed by the single cell data.

This paper employed a two-color double-pulse femtosecond laser (TDFL) technology for surface processing of carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP). By exploring the changes in ablation thresholds for resin and carbon fiber under varying wavelengths and pulse numbers, optimal wavelength combinations were identified. Adjustments to processing parameters and pulse delay enabled precise removal of the CFRP surface, targeting resin while causing no damage to the underlying carbon fibers.

This study experimentally demonstrates metasurfaces capable of producing output emissions with deflection angles greater than 75 degrees. These metasurfaces are composed of high-aspect-ratio gallium arsenide (GaAs) nano-resonators on double-sided polished GaAs substrates, operating reflectively at a wavelength of 650 nm. Beyond deflecting the incident light beam, the metasurfaces are successfully shown to generate high-deflection-angle, doughnut-shaped emissions by incorporating vortex beam (VB) structured light with a topological charge of up to 8.

To restore vision in the blind, advances in visual cortical prosthetics (VCPs) have offered high-channel-count electrical interfaces. Here, we design a 100-fiber optical bundle interface apposed to known feature-specific (color, shape, motion, and depth) functional columns that populate the visual cortex in humans, primates, and cats. Sticker-type transparent antireflective film (STAF) is applied to perovskite solar cells (PSCs) to reduce the reflection and improve the light-trapping ability of PSCs. However, the development of STAF is hindered by many factors, such as expensive materials, low actual service life, unsatisfactory antireflective effect, and a lack of research on stability.
