Background: To estimate the pre-vaccination distribution of human papillomavirus (HPV) types among women from urban Tunis.
Materials And Methods: A total of 611 women aged 18-69 years were enrolled in three local gynaecological outpatient departments. All underwent a gynaecological examination with Pap test and dry swab for HPV detection and typing performed by linear array genotyping test (Roche).
Background: Medical abortion regimens based on the use of either misoprostol alone or in association with mifepristone have shown high efficacy and excellent safety profile in early pregnancy abortion. However, no clear recommendation is available for late first-trimester termination of pregnancy.
Study Design: A prospective randomized controlled trial included 122 women seeking medical abortion at 9 to 12 weeks of gestation.
