We sought to determine the prevalence, prognostic relevance, and immunopathological features of HIC-derived transcriptomic sepsis endotypes in sub-Saharan Africa.

Background: The aim of this study was to explore application value of iodine concentration from dual-energy spectral computed tomography (DESCT) in preoperative prediction of lymphovascular tumor thrombus in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC).

Methods: We finally retrospectively analyzed 50 patients with CRC who underwent abdominal DESCT before receiving any preoperative treatment and underwent surgery to obtain pathological specimens which were stained with hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining. According to the presence of cancer cell nests in blood vessels and lymphatic vessels, the subjects were divided into the positive group and negative group of lymphovascular tumor thrombus.

Two reviewers selected independently the literature in the light of the inclusion and exclusion criteria, assessed the risk of bias by quality assessment and extracted data which were consisted of clinical efficacy indexes, such as incidence of bladder spasm, severity of bladder spasm, incidence of tube plugging, amount of bladder flushing fluid, time of bladder flushing, heart rate, systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and incidence of chills.

Mitochondrial fission has been noted in the pathogenesis of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), but the underlying specific regulatory mechanism, especially in the development of doxorubicin (DOX)-induced cardiomyopathy remains unclear. In the present study, we explore whether the aspartate-glutamate carrier1 (AGC1) interacts with the fission protein dynamin-related protein 1 (Drp1) and reveal the functional and molecular mechanisms contributing to DOX-induced cardiomyopathy. Results of co-immunoprecipitation mass spectrometry (CO-IP MS) analysis based on heart tissue of DCM patients revealed that AGC1 expression was significantly upregulated in DCM-induced injury and AGC1 level was closely correlated with mitochondrial morphogenesis and function.
