Current chemotherapeutic efficacy is limited by the rapid development of multidrug resistance (MDR) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In this study, 66 MDR-related hub genes in drug-resistant HCC were identified through combined analysis of differential expressed genes (DEGs), gene functional enrichment, Cox proportional regression, weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) and protein-protein interaction (PPI) network construction. A prognostic risk model was established through the LASSO-Cox regression analysis.

Saliva iodine is a useful biochemical marker for evaluating iodine status and controlling iodine-related diseases. This study aims to establish and validate a simple, reliable, and low-cost Sandell-Kolthoff (S-K) method for the determination of iodine in saliva. The method was established by considering the digestion solution type, concentration, dosage, digestion time and temperature, the volume of saliva samples, glass tube size, dosage of arsenious acid solution and ammonium ceric sulfate solution, and warm bath time.

Engineering Docetaxel Micelles for Enhanced Cancer Therapy Through Intermolecular Forces.

Docetaxel has exhibited excellent therapeutic effects in cancer treatment; however, its hydrophobicity, short blood circulation time, and high blood toxicity restrict its clinical application. The use of mPEG-PLA micelles to deliver docetaxel into the body has been verified as an effective approach to enhance its therapeutic efficacy. However, mPEG-PLA micelles are easily disassembled in the bloodstream, which can easily lead to premature drug release.

Background: The prevalence of thyroid nodules (TNs) has been increasing rapidly. However, little is known about the drivers of its high prevalence and tendency of malignancy. This study aimed to analyze the factors influencing the prevalence and malignancy of TNs in the adult population.

Conversion of glioma cells into neuron-like cells by small molecules.

Currently, researchers are exploring the conversion of astrocytes into functional mature neurons and gradually exploring the conversion of glioma into neurons. We report that SLCDS (SB431542, LDN193189, CHIR99021, DAPT, and SKL2001) has been shown to convert human glioma cells into mature neuron-like cells. The converted cells exhibited upregulation of DCX, TuJ1, MAP2, NeuN, and GAD67, while the expressions of EGFR, PDGFR, Ki67, and vimentin were inhibited.

The construction of a physical literacy assessment index system for junior high school students: a Chinese study.

In recent years, the internalisation of education in China has led to an increase in the prevalence of a highly competitive, test-focused approach to learning. This has had a detrimental impact on the physical health and wellbeing of children and adolescents in China, resulting in a concerning lack of physical literacy among junior high school students.
