The controlled synthesis of Ag/Au nanocomposite particles has remained a significant challenge in nanomaterial research. This study presents the synthesis, characterization, and surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) performance of silver (Ag) and gold (Au) nanostar composites. The structural and plasmonic properties of these nanocomposites were optimized by varying the molar ratios of silver nanostars (AgNSs) and gold nanostars (AuNSs).

As emerging chemical-free and eco-friendly technologies, nonthermal (gas discharge) plasma and (liquid phase) plasma-activated water (PAW) offer exceptional microbial disinfection solutions for biological, medical, environmental, and agricultural applications. Herein, we present electrohydraulic streamer discharge plasma (ESDP), which combines streamer discharge plasma (SDP) and PAW generated at a gas-liquid interface, to sterilize Chinese kale ( var. alboglabra) seeds contaminated with ().
