The present investigation was carried out to study the epidemiology, clinical signs, bleeding profile, kidney function, and pathology and to evaluate the therapeutic protocol for viperine snake envenomation in zebu cattle over a period of 14 years. A total of 98 cases of viperine bite were reported with the highest incidence during monsoon months in grazing male zebu cattle. Ascending swelling over the affected limb with lameness or asymmetrical swelling over the face with dyspnea was a consistent clinical finding.

This article focuses on the use of graphene oxide-polyaniline (GO-PANI) nanocomposite as fluorescent probe for sensing of adenine (A) and guanine (G). Swollen liquid crystalline mesophase were used for the synthesis of graphene oxide-polyaniline nanocomposite. GO-PANI nanocomposite showed enhanced fluorescent at 441 nm (ƛ  = 361 nm) on interaction of purines viz A and G solutions in dimethyl sulfoxide, GO exhibited quenching at 540 nm (ƛ  = 261 nm).

A novel hydrophobic chitosan derivative, octanoyl chitosan (OC) with improved organic solubility was synthesized, characterized, and employed for the preparation of rifampicin (Rif) encapsulated nanoparticle formulations for pulmonary delivery. OC was characterized to confirm acyl group substitution and cytotoxicity in A549 epithelial lung cells. This research is focused on the temperature sensing ability of perovskite SrZrO3:Eu(3+) hollow spheres synthesized via the sol-gel method followed by heating. The Rietveld refinement indicated that the precursors annealed at 1100 °C were crystallized to form orthorhombic SrZrO3. SrZrO3 particles exhibited non-agglomerated hollow spherical morphology with an average particle size of 300 nm.
