Radial nerve compression at the arcade of Frohse is a rare but significant condition that typically presents with pain primarily after exertion and at night on the dorsal side of the forearm, more distally than tennis elbow pain, and weakness of the wrist extensors and the long fingers and thumb extensors. Traditional treatment often involves open surgery, resulting in significant scarring. This study introduces a novel percutaneous radial nerve release technique under complete ultrasound guidance and highlights its efficacy and safety.

The efficacy of psychological interventions on well-being during the perinatal period: A systematic review.

Although research has already shown the importance of promoting well-being during pregnancy and after birth, previous meta-analyses on the effectiveness of psychological interventions do not include wellbeing as a primary outcome measure, focusing instead on assessing the effectiveness in reducing symptoms. This study aimed at conducting a systematic review of the effects of psychological interventions on well-being during the perinatal period. A search was conducted in Psycinfo, PubMed, Web of Science (WOS) and Scopus for articles published from 2014 to 2024.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of the use of additives in protein-energy supplements (PESs) on the intake, digestibility, and ruminal parameters of beef cattle raised on pasture in the rearing phase.

Eating disorders (EDs) are a group of debilitating mental illnesses characterized by maladaptive eating behaviors and severe cognitive-emotional dysfunction, directly affecting 1-3% of the population. Standard treatments are not effective in approximately one third of ED cases, representing the need for scientific advancement. There is emerging evidence for the safety and efficacy of psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy (PAP) to improve treatment outcomes in individuals with EDs.

Implementation of the cascade of care for latent mycobacterium tuberculosis infection in people living with HIV/Aids.

Objective: To describe the outcome indicators of implementing a cascade of care for latent Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection in people living with the human immunodeficiency virus.

Method: Cross-sectional study, carried out with people living with HIV, from 2022 to 2024, in a reference service in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul. It occurred after the implementation of the following work process: Identification of people at risk for investigation of Latent Tuberculosis Infection (LTBI); Test for LTBI; Exclusion of active TB cases; Treatment for LTBI; Adherence to treatment; and Completion of treatment.

ST8-t008-SCC IV methicillin-resistant in retail fresh cheese.

This study reports the finding of 3 ST8-t008-SCC IVa (2B) methicillin-resistant (MRSA) strains in fresh cheese purchased within a single market in Costa Rica. In line with the finding of the resistance genes , , (C), and (A) in their genomes, these bacteria showed phenotypic resistance to multiple β-lactams and erythromycin. In addition, they carry genes for acquired resistance to aminoglycosides () and fosfomycin (), and genes for a myriad of virulence factors, including adhesins, hemolysins, and exotoxins.

Soybean molasses (SBMO) is a byproduct derived from the production of soy protein concentrate, obtained through solubilization in water and alcohol. The utilization of SBMO as an animal feed ingredient shows promising potential, primarily due to its low cost and as a potential energy concentrate. This study aimed to assess the intake, digestibility, ruminal parameters (pH and ruminal ammonia - NH), nitrogen retention (NR) and microbial protein synthesis in grazing beef cattle supplemented with SBMO as a substitute for corn during the rainy season.

Tumor-associated myeloid-derived cells (MDCs) significantly impact cancer prognosis and treatment responses due to their remarkable plasticity and tumorigenic behaviors. Here, we integrate single-cell RNA-sequencing data from different cancer types, identifying 29 MDC subpopulations within the tumor microenvironment. The InBIO Barcoding Initiative Database: DNA barcodes of Orthoptera from Portugal.

Background: The InBIO Barcoding Initiative (IBI) Orthoptera dataset contains records of 420 specimens covering all the eleven Orthoptera families occurring in Portugal. Specimens were collected in continental Portugal from 2005 to 2021 and were morphologically identified to species level by taxonomists. A total of 119 species were identified corresponding to about 77% of all the orthopteran species known from continental Portugal.

Objective: The aim is to examine whether the addition of Virtual Reality (VR) meditation training to a standard 8-week Mindfulness-Based Health Care Program (MBHC-VR) results in a significantly increased improvement in occupational, mental health, and psychological functioning versus MBHC-only in university students.

Materials And Methods: A randomized controlled clinical trial with three arms (MBHC, MBHC-VR, Control Group), four assessment time points (pre-intervention, inter-session, post-intervention, and 3-month follow-up), and mixed methodology will be proposed. University students (undergraduate, master, or doctoral) interested in participating and who meet the inclusion/exclusion criteria will be included over two years.
